Bayern is currently on the lookout for a new coach to replace Thomas Tuchel who left the team last week.

The German football team is now focusing on Kompany. They have been having constructive and optimistic discussions, but they haven't reached an agreement yet.

Kompany desires to join Bayern and they have reached a verbal agreement. Nonetheless, the deal has not been finalized yet.

Sky Sports News has reached out to Burnley for a statement regarding Bayern's apparent desire to add Kompany to their team.

Bayern's sporting directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund have expressed their interest in the Belgian player, who is currently under contract at Turf Moor until 2028.

Bayern has also collected details regarding Mauricio Pochettino, who resigned from Chelsea on Tuesday. However, they haven't engaged in any talks just yet since their top priority is Kompany.

Although he had a difficult season with Burnley resulting in their relegation from the Premier League, there is still interest in the 38-year-old. This is surprising, but it seems that his skills and experience are highly valued.

However, the former captain of Manchester City, who has also coached Anderlecht, possesses expertise in the Bundesliga as he previously played for Hamburg prior to joining City.

Bayern has faced disappointment in their attempts to hire a replacement for Tuchel. The coach of Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, the national team coach of Germany, Julian Nagelsmann, and the coach of Austria, Ralf Rangnick have all declined the position.

The people of Bavaria had indicated that they were intrigued by Oliver Glasner, the manager of Crystal Palace. However, Glasner himself is content with his current position at Selhurst Park.

"Kompany's Bayern Move: Risky And Experimental"

Florian Plettenberg, a journalist for Sky in Germany:

The attention of Max Eberl and Christoph Freund, who are the sporting directors, is fully dedicated to concluding the potential agreement with Kompany.

At present, there are no official agreements or signed documents, however, discussions and bargaining are still in progress. Bayern is keen to conclude their hunt for a new coach within the coming days.

Bayern has been looking into Mauricio Pochettino lately, but they haven't talked to him directly in the past few hours. It seems like they're more interested in Kompany at the moment.

Bayern has had a lot of tough weeks with the disappointment of Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ralf Rangnick not joining the team. Pochettino is now someone that the public can get behind and support.

Max Eberl has quite the impressive track record, having successfully managed PSG, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, and achieved great success with Tottenham. He also had a very promising second half of the season with Chelsea. However, it seems that he is now feeling the heat at Bayern and they are looking to rebrand themselves by introducing a new version of Xabi Alonso.

To opt for Kompany is a hazardous and uncertain decision, as it involves taking a risk. However, Bayern has detected peculiar qualities in Kompany that prompt them to go for this untested experiment. Moreover, they have also gathered information from Kompany, which assures them of his readiness to face the mammoth task that lies ahead at Bayern.

It's hard to determine if Kompany's decision to join Bayern is appropriate. It's possible that Kompany might decline the offer and Bayern might opt for Pochettino. At this point, Bayern's actions are unpredictable.
