During the 'BMF' title fight at UFC 300, Max Holloway achieved a remarkable MMA knockout by causing Justin Gaethje to faceplant with only a few seconds left in the bout, making it one of the best knockouts ever seen in the history of MMA.

The ex-champion of featherweight was battling Gaethje in the weight class of 155lbs, which was the favorite of the latter. However, he displayed a fantastic performance for five rounds, and his victory through the judges' decision seemed inevitable.

As the clock was ticking down to 10 seconds, the Hawaiian made eye contact with Gaethje and gestured towards the canvas, indicating that he wanted to exchange punches in one last final burst. Gaethje agreed to the challenge and was hit by a powerful overhand right that knocked out the former interim champion and left his face planted on the mat.

The most awaited fight of the night at a significant venue in Las Vegas ended amazingly as Holloway won the 'Baddest Motherf***er' championship from Gaethje in an impressive manner.

A lot of people didn't think Holloway would do well because of the lightweight fight he had in 2019. He tried to win the interim belt, but ended up losing to Dustin Poirier on points.

On this occasion, Holloway had sufficient time to get his body ready for a lightweight fight. When he stepped into the Octagon, he appeared to be in good shape and at ease. He may have even won the first four rounds before delivering an impressive knockout.

During the last moment of the first round, the athlete who is 32 years old appeared to have caused a fracture in the nose of Gaethje by executing a spinning back kick. This technique was used multiple times by Holloway throughout the fight, causing constant distress for Gaethje.

Once he emerged victorious against Gaethje, who is 35 years old, Holloway proceeded to challenge Ilia Topuria, who is presently the reigning champion of featherweight. Topuria managed to secure the 145lbs title from Alexander Volkanovski back in February.

Topuria defeated Volkanovski, who had previously won three fights against Holloway, to become the champion. The fighter from Georgia and Spain is now requesting that the UFC organize an event in Madrid, ideally in the latter part of 2024.
