According to his family, he passed away at a young age and they labeled him as a great actor with strong determination.

According to BBC Scotland News, Sarah McCardie expressed that the family was feeling extremely sorrowful.

She expressed that Brian had a deep passion for his profession and had a positive impact on the lives of many. It is unfortunate that he passed away prematurely. She conveyed her love for him and the immense loss that his absence will bring.

Jed Mercurio, the creator of Line of Duty, and Simon Heath, its executive producer, expressed their "great pleasure" in collaborating with him in a statement.

According to them, Brian possessed remarkable skills as an actor and his portrayal of Tommy Hunter left a profound impact that confirms the strength of his acting abilities.
