Musician Martin Kemp, who was previously part of the band Spandau Ballet, anticipates that he will pass away before a decade passes.

Kemp, who is 62-years-old, revealed this information while being interviewed on a podcast with his son, Roman Kemp. Roman is not only a former presenter on Capital Breakfast radio show but also a previous contestant on I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! reality TV show.

During the 1990s, Kemp received a medical diagnosis revealing he had two brain growths that were benign. He had surgery and radiotherapy to remove the growths with success. Nonetheless, he developed epilepsy as a result of the medical procedures and he has been coping with it ever since.

In the inaugural episode of the latest podcast series FFS! My dad is Martin Kemp, the Kemps engaged in a conversation about their own mortality.

In the show named "Death, Martin and Roman", Kemp's child inquires about how much time he has left to live.

To be completely truthful, it's been a decade," he answers. "I am uncertain about my remaining time, however, when I was 34 years old and went through the brain tumour fright, I spent two years believing that my life was going to end.

In my opinion, all the moments and memories that have come after that particular point in time have been an added benefit to my life. This includes each day, month, and year that has passed, as well as any unique encounters I have had.

Kemp expressed that he had almost accepted the idea that he was going to pass away and had been content with his life situation.

The individual responsible for playing the bass guitar stated, "At that particular moment, I had a thought that if I were to depart, it would be an incredibly fulfilling life." This occurred in the past. Therefore, each year and month that I persist in living is an added perk.

It would bring me joy if I could live until I reach 80 years old, as this would grant me an additional 18 years of life.

From 1979 to 1990, Kemp was the bass guitarist for Spandau Ballet. After the band reunited in 2009, he rejoined and stayed for another 10 years.

Kemp has talked before about how he was selected for the TV show EastEnders and how it positively impacted his recuperation from having brain tumours.

"I was still experiencing some brain dysfunction after the surgery," he explained. "It was to the extent that I would occasionally go in the opposite direction of where I wanted to go, or I couldn't organize my thoughts or tasks properly. Memorizing lines was especially challenging."

When I was presented with the opportunity to join the cast of EastEnders, I saw it as a chance to move forward from my previous struggles. It was not just a decision based on the lucrative nature of the job, but rather a step towards reclaiming and rebuilding my life.
