This week, a former GB News presenter and politician who is now 45 years old will be appearing in the High Court. He is being accused of making racist remarks on social media in three separate posts that were made in 2020 using a platform that used to be known as Twitter.

The founder of the Reclaim Party urged people to not shop at Sainsbury's after the supermarket declared that they will be offering a secure area for their black staff members during the month of October, which is Black History Month.

Drag performer Crystal, previous Stonewall trustee Simon Blake, and actress Nicola Thorp labeled him as a ‘racist’.

On the second day of the defamation case at the High Court, Fox stated that he is not a racist. He explained in court in London that the group's social media posts were planned in order to ruin his professional reputation. According to Fox, the outcome of their actions was exactly what they intended.

On Twitter, Thorp claimed that any business that decides to hire Laurence Fox or let him have a platform is aware that he is a racist. This claim is made without any doubt and has been shared publicly.

During the hearing, Fox stated that someone had accused him of being a racist and this can impact his profession by discouraging employers from hiring him.

He included: 'That was the end of my career.'

Following allegations of racism, Fox labeled Blake and Crystal as a 'pedophile', resulting in a defamation lawsuit by Blake and drag performer Colin Seymour, also recognized as Crystal.

Fox has filed a lawsuit in response to their tweets and presented their case during a court hearing in London on Monday morning.

The performer shared in written testimony that he was greatly alarmed when he discovered that he had been labeled as a racist. He went on to explain that such a description could harm his future job prospects and permanently damage his good name.

He went on to say: 'It was extremely painful, firstly because it is untrue, and secondly because it was groundless: it felt like the accusers spread it with the intention of ruining my reputation.'

I believed that my reputation was one of the most valuable possessions I had, and they were attempting to damage it.

Fox stated in a lengthy document of 24 pages that he made a minimum of £500,000 to £600,000 annually from his acting work until the year 2020.

Nonetheless, Fox expressed that his existence was shattered by their actions and that he had become a victim.

Beforehand, during the legal case, Lorna Skinner KC acted for Blake, Seymour and Thorp, and asserted that the three individuals had a genuine belief, and still do, that Mr Fox is discriminatory towards people of other races.

The lawyer who interrogated Fox on Tuesday stated in written documents that he has made various statements about race that are incredibly controversial. Additionally, they mentioned that if Fox has experienced any damage to his reputation, it is not because of the comments made by the claimants, but rather it is due to his conduct.

On Monday, it was reported in court that Fox had gotten excrement sent to his mailbox twice after he was accused.

According to Fox, his former spouse Billie Piper had expressed worry about the safety of their two kids in their current residence.

The performer stated that he is unable to obtain a mortgage because his earnings have decreased, and he no longer has his previous agent, Sue Latimer, representing him in the acting world.

He mentioned that if she didn't have the possibility of working and earning money, he wouldn't have been able to secure a mortgage.

In his testimony, he stated that his job was lively and full of activity prior to the tweets. He also mentioned that Latimer let him go, but prior to that, he had been invited to audition for prominent roles such as Batman and Succession. He was also given opportunities to audition for various Netflix, Disney+, and HBO productions.

During his testimony where he advocated for a boycott against Sainsbury's, Fox asserted that the supermarket was manipulating their customers' emotions and he hasn't made any purchases there since.

He said: 'Instead of actually addressing racism, Sainsbury's seemed to be more concerned with enhancing their public perception by presenting themselves as the supermarket that fights against racism.'

In my opinion, the term "safe space" is simply a guise for discrimination through segregation, where individuals are separated based on their skin color. This language may sound inclusive, but it ultimately creates division among people.

The case presided over by Judge Collins Rice is set to end later this week, and a verdict is likely to be given at a later time.
