Laurence Fox has been heavily criticized for his derogatory comments towards a female journalist during a live segment on GB News. His remarks were deemed disrespectful and harmful towards women.

The 45-year-old founder of the Reclaim Party and former actor was extremely rude towards Ava Evans, a political correspondent for the online news site Joe, when he spoke to interviewer Dan Wootton on Tuesday, September 26th.

In the unusual portion, Fox referred to Evans as a "tiny lady" and stated: "Can you find a single respectable man who would willingly have sex with that woman at any time, who isn't an incel?"

Wootton didn't confront his guest's statements and instead joined in with Fox's remarks. Fox went on to say that what's needed are strong, impressive women who make valid arguments for themselves - not the so-called "feminist 4.0" who are weak and cringeworthy. In his view, nobody would want to have sex with them.

Fox's surprising remarks followed Evans' latest remarks on male mental health which he made on BBC Politics Live program on Monday, 25 September.

Not long after her outburst, Ms Evans uploaded the video on a social networking website called X, which used to be referred to as Twitter. She accompanied the post with the words "Did you hear Laurence Fox's entire talk on GB News about the reasons why men supposedly don't want to have intimate relations with me?"

She later tweeted that the conversation caused her to feel nauseous.

After Fox's angry remarks, Wootton quickly countered by saying that he wanted to add some perspective. He mentioned that Fox had acknowledged her comments earlier that day and expressed regret, though she didn't formally apologize. That's what Wootton wanted to share. He also complimented Fox on her physical appearance, saying that she's a stunning woman.

The host Wooton apologized for his comments this morning due to a strong negative response. He expressed his sincere regret and clarified that he did not find his offensive rant funny. Instead, he was caught off guard and reacted impulsively.

Wooton acknowledged that he was wrong not to halt Fox's tirade, and stated that he should have stepped in right away to confront his offensive and derogatory statements about women.

GB News is currently conducting an inquiry regarding the remarks and deeming them completely inappropriate.

Fox has been involved in a number of controversies due to his public remarks and political beliefs. He founded the Reclaim political party in September of 2019, with the goal of standing up against what he claims are "culture wars", and leading those who are fed up with being labeled with things that go against their shared history.

There have been many controversies around GB News, which started airing in 2021. Recently, Fox made some angry comments, shortly after the channel announced that they won't be looking into allegations of inappropriate behavior against Wootton. This decision was made because the claims made against him were not related to his job at GB News.

The area where people can leave comments below her post is full of encouragement for Evans, but also a lot of surprise and doubt towards Fox.

Carol Vorderman, the host, expressed her opinion by saying, "GB News, which is touted as a news channel, has no limit when it comes to setting standards."

Columnist Owen Jones expressed his deep affection and support by stating that if Ofcom fails to address this repulsive and unrepentant sexism, they should cease their operations immediately.

"This is disgusting, let's stand together xx," commented Lizzy Buchan, the deputy political editor of the Daily Mail.

The journalist Richard Godwin expressed his disapproval of an individual, stating that he was totally reprehensible. He also conveyed his regret regarding the situation.

Another individual commented, exclaiming, "It has been accomplished!" GB News has managed to surpass the boundaries and have landed themselves four studios away. It seems that no action will be taken due to the current state of affairs with this group. It has been suggested that a letter from Ofcom is forthcoming, and it has been noted that they are quite afraid of the consequences.

One critic expressed their disgust, while another sympathized and called the situation targeted harassment. They predict that Laurence Fox may lose his job due to the severity of the situation. This is a new low for GB News and those who don't speak out against it are just as guilty.

According to a person who works for GB News on camera, they had a great day on Tuesday where they had some unique stories to report. However, the only topic of discussion about GB News these days is the comments made by Laurence Fox last night. The member thinks that his specific and hateful comments toward women are tarnishing the team's effort. They think that what he said is not justifiable and is sickening.

The Independent has reached out to GB News and the spokespersons of Evans, Fox, and Wootton for additional statements.

Fox's Unpleasant Rant: Complete Transcript

Fox: "Can you find any man with self-respect who would be willing to have a sexual encounter with that woman, unless he is an incel?"

"That oppressed woman has been continuously fed with oppression, unwillingly forced to accept it day after day."

We require women who possess significant strength and exhibit remarkable qualities to present their views and opinions. However, we do not need the type of feminists referred to as 4.0 as they appear to be weak and shameful. Such women are a disgrace and unattractive. Who would even consider engaging in intimate relationships with them?

Wooton stated that he was going to add some perspective to the issue. He mentioned that the woman in question had acknowledged her error in judgment by expressing remorse for her previous statements earlier in the day. However, he clarified that she did not explicitly apologize.

"She is extremely gorgeous, Laurence. She is breathtakingly stunning."
