The channel GB News has declared that their host, Dan Wootton, has been placed on suspension.

GB News has suspended Dan Wootton after Laurence Fox made remarks on his show. Fox questioned the integrity of any man who would consent to a sexual encounter with reporter Ava Evans.

The TV station previously put Fox on hold due to his comments aimed at Evans from PoliticsJOE that he said during a broadcast.

According to the BBC, Evans has reported receiving threats subsequent to the incident.

Wootton expressed remorse in his apology, acknowledging that he should have taken action to counteract Fox's interview.

The TV station criticized the offensive language as "completely improper" and declared they are currently investigating the matter. At the same time, Fox maintained his position by affirming that he stands by "each and every word" he uttered.

During a discussion about political journalist Evans' suggestion of creating a 'minister for men' to address mental health concerns, Fox shared his thoughts while also serving as a host on GB News.

On Monday's episode of BBC Politics Live, the political correspondent for PoliticsJOE expressed their belief that such an idea would create hostility towards women. They also stated that mental illness does not exclusively affect men.

Responding to the criticisms made by Dan Wootton during his show on Tuesday, Fox stated: "As it's now after the designated time for adult content, I can express my honest opinion. Can you present to me even one man with a shred of dignity who would willingly share a bed with that woman - now or in the future?"

The small female has consistently been exposed to oppression through a feeding spoon on a daily basis.

We require formidable, robust, phenomenal women who assert their opinions convincingly, rather than those so-called feminist 4.0 who are ineffectual and humiliating.

"Who would desire to have sexual relations with that?"

On Monday's episode of Politics Live, Ava Evans was a guest.

'Wootton Called Me Nonstop'

When discussing the insult from Fox, Evans expressed to the BBC Newscast podcast how it caused her to feel repulsed and loathed, and that the previous day had been incredibly brutal.

According to her, she was threatened by individuals who support Fox. One of the messages that she received cautioned her to be careful.

Perhaps, I'll need to be cautious and check my surroundings before heading home to ensure that nobody is observing my residential location.

Additionally, she mentioned that the editor of GB News had sent her an email apologizing for the remarks made by Fox, stating that they did not reflect the views of the network.

She expressed that the apology she received was the finest one possible, mentioning that she didn't anticipate the broadcaster would take any action at first.

Evans is urging Conservative MPs to refrain from making appearances on GB News.

There's a show being hosted by the deputy chairman of the Conservative Party, Lee Anderson. Numerous individuals are also featured on the program such as Jacob Rees-Mogg and Esther McVey, who are both elected members of parliament.

As a journalist, it unsettles me to witness individuals who craft our laws and speak in the revered "mother of all parliaments" espousing such a message. It doesn't align with my beliefs.

During a recent PoliticsJOE podcast, Evans alleged that Wootton, who holds the role of executive editor at GB News, phoned her on several occasions throughout the night following her confrontation with Fox, which was aired on television.

She stated that she had received calls and voicemails up until 1 am and expressed her desire to not have any further communication from him.

Prior to his suspension, Wootton's legal representative stated that he still holds true to his desire to apologize to her directly and "honors her preferences" if she prefers to avoid communication.

Laurence Fox, who is also facing suspension, has accused the media of having an unhealthy preoccupation with destroying him and his career.

After being suspended, Fox shared a screenshot on Twitter, going by the alias X, that seemed to imply he and Wootton had a conversation with laughing emojis after the show.

Actor Fox, who appeared in the film Gosford Park, stated that he had a preliminary conversation with the channel prior to the interview to ensure that his intended message was understood.

Ever since, he has been blaming the media of having an obsessive behavior towards getting him cancelled.

Media personalities and politicians have criticized Fox's remarks on GB News. Claire Coutinho, who serves as the Energy Secretary, labeled his statements as "utterly despicable."

Michelle Donelan, the Secretary of Technology, has requested that Ofcom, the media regulator, investigate the situation. Donelan expressed her disapproval towards Fox's remarks and Wootton's reaction during an interview with Sky News.

Richard Tice, who is a presenter at GB news and also the leader of the Reform UK party, expressed his opinion to BBC News about Fox's statements, stating that they were completely unsuitable and that Fox should apologize to Evans.

According to Ofcom, several grievances were submitted about Fox's remarks.
