It seems that Jake Bongiovi is following in his rock star father's footsteps with his upcoming film debut in Rockbottom, sporting a retro mullet hairstyle reminiscent of his dad's iconic look.

The upcoming performer - who happens to have Jon Bon Jovi as his father - performs in a rock and roll comedy that revolves around a band from the 80s hair metal era named CougarSnake, who experience an unforeseen resurgence.

The latest preview, which was only displayed on DailyMail.com, depicts Jake, a 21-year-old, changing from a pizza delivery guy to a frontman for the aging rock group. While on stage, he is ambushed by a crowd of older women.

The performer, who is betrothed to Millie Bobby Brown from the show Stranger Things, sports an orange hairstyle that looks similar to his father's in the late 80s.

Jon Bon Jovi's offspring Jake Bongiovi is demonstrating that talent runs in the family by unleashing his rock star prowess in his first film appearance, Rockbottom.

The up-and-coming performer plays a role in a humorous movie that involves a rock group from the 80s known as CougarSnake, who unexpectedly achieve prominence once again.

At the start of the trailer, the teenage protagonist Alex Rockbottom, played by McKaley Millier, introduces the audience to the film's plot centered around a musical group called CougarSnake.

As the group is observed engaging in a physical altercation, she remarks: 'This particular instant marked the downfall of CougarSnake from being at the pinnacle of success to hitting rock bottom'.

Fast forward to 35 years in the future and a rising music sensation named Bryce Cooper, portrayed by Brandon Butler, expresses that the once overlooked group is his main motivation.

Alex and her closest pal, Teala Dunn, are overjoyed by this exciting development as Tom Everett Scott, who portrayed her father Jesse Rockbottom in the show, was an integral member of the squad.

The music group has made the decision to come together again and play as the opening act for Bryce's upcoming charity show. Yet, they are facing a setback as they do not have a main vocalist.

After many disappointing tryouts, Alex is overjoyed to find out that the delivery guy for pizzas, Justin, possesses an extraordinary singing ability.

When requested to perform a vocal rendition, Justin clarifies: 'I prefer not to sing in public.'

In the video preview, Justin shifts towards the humorous side as he belts out tunes alongside the group in a retirement home. However, an elderly lady hits him on the skull with her cane, adding to the lighthearted atmosphere.

The comedy on Prime Video depicts how Justin, played by Jake, transitions from being a mere pizza delivery guy into a lead singer.

The musical group has made a choice to come together again for a charitable event, but unfortunately, they are unable to locate a lead vocalist.

The role of Jakes, who plays a young pizza delivery boy, requires him to conquer his fear of performing on stage. This is because he has been tasked with singing lead vocals for a rock group that is past their prime.

An elderly man with his walking stick then assaults him while another guy exclaims to Alex in shock: 'This is an amazing rock concert'.

While the band strives to recapture their former glory, Tom confesses, "Honestly, I don't believe I possessed the necessary qualities to become a famous musician."

His daughter responds by suggesting that perhaps the opportunity wasn't meant for him during the previous occasion, but it may be the right moment now.

Scheduled to debut on Prime Video on March 28th, the movie was helmed by Todd Tucker, a renowned master of special effects makeup, who collaborated on the screenplay with Greg Zekowski.

The slogan they use is: 'Another opportunity to enjoy Rock and Roll'.

Jake is the third child out of four born to Jon Bon Jovi and his high school lover, Dorothea Hurley.

In addition to being a renowned musician all over the globe, Jake's dad also experimented with acting and was featured in many successful TV programs and movies like Ally McBeal between the 90s and 2000s.

In the near future, Jake is set to display his talent as an actor in the upcoming university-themed movie, Sweethearts. He will co-star with Kiernan Shipka in this comedic flick.

. The preview becomes funny when Justin joins the band to perform at a senior center, but gets hit on his head by an elderly lady wielding her walking cane.
