During the Olivier Awards, Hannah Waddingham stood up to a photographer who made an inappropriate request for her to showcase her legs.

The host of the London ceremony held on Sunday (April 14th), where Sunset Boulevard won seven awards, was the actor from Ted Lasso. This actor had been transparent about their frightening incident while filming on Game of Thrones.

Prior to the commencement of the event, Waddingham had her pictures taken outside the Royal Albert Hall. Unfortunately, she appeared to be annoyed by a statement made by a member of the media and expressed her discontent by speaking out against them.

Waddingham was caught on camera by a passerby and it appeared that the photographer shouted at her to show her leg. She then responded, as seen in the viral clip shared on X/Twitter, by saying, “You would never say that to a man.”

Please refrain from being rude, otherwise I will depart from the conversation. Also, please avoid using phrases like "show me leg". Thank you.

As Waddingham departed, she was met with cheers and applause while shaking her head in disapproval.

Waddingham has hosted the best in theatre awards twice, with the most recent one being the 2024 event.

Sunset Boulevard, starring Nicole Scherzinger, was victorious at the Olivier Awards, snagging a total of seven wins. The show also earned recognition for its impressive costume design, set design, lighting design, sound design, and choreography.

Sarah Snook, an Australian celebrity renowned for her appearance in Succession, emerged as the victor after competing with strong opponents, namely, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sheridan Smith, and Sophie Okonedo for the Best Actress award. She won the prestige for her exceptional performance in The Picture of Dorian Gray.

According to Waddingham, she doesn't have any space in her schedule for negativity aimed towards her co-star in Mission: Impossible, Tom Cruise.

The entertainer recorded parts with the debatable celebrity for the final part of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, which is planned to hit cinemas in the year 2025.

During a recent television appearance, Waddingham reminisced about spending "five days filled with high-energy" with Cruise aboard the USS George HW Bush fighter carrier. She expressed her disapproval for anyone who criticizes Cruise after their experience together.

She went on to say: "He is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant, supportive, optimistic and motivating individuals I have ever encountered. Don't you think he's just wonderful? I won't tolerate anyone saying anything negative about him."
