United celebrate a significant moment with a thrilling performance!

It was expected that Jim Goodwin wouldn't make any changes to the initial lineup following their impressive win against Partick Thistle at Firhill last week.

Positive developments were seen in the team as Declan Glass was able to come back to the squad after a brief period of sickness.

United scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the game and seemed to be on track to win three easy points in the Championship.

Kai Fotheringham's corner kick almost scored a goal, but unfortunately, there were many loud protests about whether or not the ball had crossed the line. Additionally, Louis Moult was prevented from scoring because he was positioned offside.

Shortly after he was declared unfit to play, Moult managed to score our first goal with a nearly identical play, where he lightly hit the ball into the net after receiving a pass from Glenn Middleton only a short distance away.

At the fourteenth minute mark, Ross Docherty scored his first league goal of the season to give us a 2-0 lead. Fotheringham made a smart move, creating some space before shooting. Unfortunately, his shot was deflected but it worked in our favor as Docherty was at the right place at the right time at the edge of the box. With composure, he outmaneuvered his defender in the area and blasted the ball into the top of the net.

In Arbroath's strongest play of the first half, Michael McKenna came close to scoring a point for the team. However, his sliding attempt at the rear post missed the target.

The guests were fortunate to have all ten players remaining on the field since David Gold got away with only a cautionary card after committing a sneaky foul on Middleton as he and Watt were breaking away.

Just before the end of the first half, United seemed to have the game under control. Fotheringham contributed to their success with a goal. McMann passed the ball wickedly, but Gaston couldn't handle it, which led to Fotheringham taking over the ball as it rolled to the goal. From a close range, Fotheringham completed the goal.

As the match continued into the latter half, Manchester United continued to play with the same high level of intensity as they had before.

Just 13 minutes into the second half, Watt kept up with his impressive run of scoring goals by expertly lifting the ball over a stretched out leg and then shooting it low into the corner at the bottom of the net.

Moult scored his second goal of the game in a way that was close to how he scored his first goal. Middleton, who provided the assist for his first goal, did the same for his second. Middleton sped down the left side and then sent a pass along the ground towards the goal. Moult was there to hit the ball hard and score.

With only three minutes left in the game, Mathew Cudjoe, who came on as a substitute, finished off the match with a fantastic goal that landed in the top corner of the net. Despite being challenged by an opposing player and falling down, he got back up and made a determined run into the box before calmly placing the ball into the goal. This goal brought our team's total to six for the game.
