Moult put forth great effort but his accuracy was not up to par. He missed the goal by swiping over the bar and nodding wide. It seemed that the goal that would secure the title was imminent, but there wasn't much time left.

Despite their efforts and hard work, Mochrie only had to tap the ball into the goal, thanks to Clarke's prior save from Watt. With that, the task was completed and the celebrations began.

United's focus was on the end result, not the process. Although the numbers may suggest otherwise, the sheer number of excited fans who flooded the Tannadice field at the end of the match proves otherwise.
