PCS to speak to Home Office over plan to move civil servants to Rwanda to oversee asylum scheme

We informed i that we would bring up concerns with the Home Office regarding the well-being of our members who plan to visit Rwanda. This includes their accommodation, supervision, and legal jurisdiction.

Fran Heathcote, the General Secretary of PCS, stated that the disordered execution of an unsystematic policy is an indication of an unsettled government.

Our members have been asked to go work in Rwanda without our input. If they choose to travel, we plan to bring up concerns with the Home Office regarding their well-being. She stated that the members were responsible for carrying out the government's immoral, cruel, and unfeasible plan for Rwanda, but they were disregarded in the rush to satisfy conservative voters.
