Sancho returned to Dortmund this week on a loan that lasts for six months, after not performing well during his time at United. This caused his manager, Erik ten Hag, to remove him from the team.

The player from England assisted in a goal made by Marco Reus after being substituted for only 20 minutes.

Dortmund managed to maintain their 1-0 advantage after an early goal from Julian Brandt against Darmstadt, who currently sit at the bottom of the Bundesliga. In the match, Sancho passed the ball to Reus, who scored from a short distance.

Sancho, who is 23 years old, said to Sky Germany that it seems like it was predestined for him to return and reunite with Marco.

"I have a strong bond with him... It brings me joy to have assisted him in achieving his goal today."

In the closing moments of the game, Youssoufa Moukoko scored a third goal.

Sancho expressed that he felt comfortable and welcomed upon his return to Dortmund.

Sancho assisted Reus for the ninth time and has provided a total of 64 assists for Dortmund.

When Sancho was just seventeen years old in 2017, he signed his first contract with Dortmund and remained with the club for four years. He accomplished the incredible feat of securing the German Cup in 2021 before joining United in exchange for a significant sum of £73 million ($93 million, 85 million euros).

Sancho was sidelined in United for most of the season due to a public argument with Ten Hag and had not participated in any games since August.

When questioned about his goals at Dortmund, Sancho stated that his aim is to regain happiness by being able to play on the field and contribute to the team.

According to Reus, this player is a game-changer. He consistently either scores a goal or helps with an important play in every match.

I absolutely adore playing with him and I'm overjoyed that he has returned to us. It's truly amazing.

"He has been out of play for around seven to eight months, but the assist is likely to boost his confidence levels."

Edin Terzic, the current Dortmund coach who temporarily led the team during Sancho's last season in his first stint at the German club expressed his joy for Jadon's recent success.

One important thing to remember is that we're discussing Jadon's skills, but we mustn't overlook the fact that he's still a relatively young player who's been through a lot in recent years.

"He proved to us that our connection is not over yet."

Dortmund secured their inaugural victory in the league since November, which brought Terzic's team closer to fourth-ranked RB Leipzig by a margin of three points. Earlier on Saturday, Leipzig lost their game to Eintracht Frankfurt with a score of 1-0.
