David Potts expressed his gratitude towards his fellow housemates for allowing him to be himself.

David Potts, a famous personality from reality TV, has been declared as the winner of the initial Celebrity Big Brother program in six years.

Potts, a 30-year-old who gained popularity as a vacation representative on the television show, Ibiza Weekender, came out on top, surpassing the other individuals who made it to the finals: Louis Walsh, Fern Briton, Nikita Kuzmin, and Colson Smith.

ITV revived the program after Channel 5 canceled it in 2018. Since then, it has amassed an audience of approximately 2.8 million viewers per episode.

Nearly three weeks prior, twelve individuals joined the Big Brother residence.

At the end of the show, the five housemates who were left gathered together in the living room to have dinner and think back on everything they had been through.

Five individuals who managed to make it to the final were Fern Britton, David Potts, Nikita Kuzmin, Louis Walsh, and Colson Smith.

Potts expressed his gratitude towards everyone for allowing him to be himself and added that he never expected to find himself in a home among twelve people who he really enjoyed being around.

Before, Potts gained recognition for showcasing his talent on various TV programs such as Celebs on the Farm, Celebrity Karaoke Club, and Celebrity Ghost Trip.

In the meantime, Walsh expressed that he had thoroughly enjoyed his time in the house.

"He described me as eccentric, amusing, and someone who had something to say about everyone. It's a memory I'll always hold onto," he recounted.

Throughout the series, the ex-X Factor panelist was not hesitant to express his thoughts about other well-known figures.

He received negative reactions on social media when he referred to the Irish pop duo Jedward as "disgusting" last week.

The two twins were taught by Walsh during the talent competition back in 2009. However, they expressed strong disapproval of his remarks, claiming that they were unpleasant and showed a lack of respect.

He, together with fellow ex-X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, criticized a number of famous personalities including presenter James Corden, editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine Anna Wintour, and television host Ellen DeGeneres.

During his time in the house with other individuals, Walsh disclosed that he had been diagnosed with an uncommon type of blood cancer amidst the global health crisis. Nonetheless, he reassured his housemates that he has since fully recovered.

ITV referred to Osbourne as a "famous tenant" and he departed from the program after being there for eight days.

Other participants in the competition were Gary Goldsmith, the uncle of Princess Diana, Bradley Riches who starred in Heartstopper, and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, a former winner of Love Island.
