Who is Brenda Blethyn?
Brenda Blethyn is an English actress who has had a successful career in film, television, and theatre. Born in 1946 in Ramsgate, Kent, England, she initially worked as a typist before becoming an actress. She studied at the Guildford School of Acting before joining the Royal National Theatre Company, where she performed in several productions.
Her breakthrough came in 1996 when she starred in the film "Secrets & Lies," directed by Mike Leigh. Her performance earned her critical acclaim and several award nominations, including an Academy Award for Best Actress. Since then, Blethyn has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including "Pride & Prejudice," "Atonement," and "Vera."
