Kaia Gerber Reveals That She and Ayo Edebiri Got Matching Tattoos: 'It's Pretty Fresh'

The actors from 'Bottoms' recently got some fresh tattoos following Edebiri's stint as a host on 'Saturday Night Live'.

Kaia Gerber and Ayo Edebiri have taken their friendship to the next level by getting new tattoos!

Gerber, aged 22, shared during an E! News interview on Thursday that she recently got matching tattoos with her friend and co-star Edebiri, aged 28, from Bottoms.

During the premiere of her new show Palm Royale, Gerber shared with the media that the news is still quite new. She had gone to watch Edebiri on SNL and was very impressed with her performance. Gerber was surprised when the next day, instead of resting after such a busy and demanding week, Edebiri suggested they both get tattoos.

"I comply with everything she says," she further stated.

On February 3rd, Edebiri had their debut hosting gig on SNL, sharing the stage with the talented Jennifer Lopez as the musical guest.

Cindy Crawford's daughter made a playful remark that The Bear actor is ignoring her after it was revealed that she will be co-starring with Rachel Sennott from Bottoms in the upcoming film, SNL 1975 which is directed by Jason Reitman and is about the early years of SNL.

Gerber chuckled as he mentioned that Edebiri was extremely displeased, and he recognized that he had to make amends in order to rectify the situation.

In the beginning of this month, there was news that Gerber would have a leading role in the movie portraying the character of Chevy Chase's former spouse named Jacqueline Carlin. She will be working alongside a group of young actors who are playing renowned comedians such as Nicholas Braun who will be Jim Henson, Dylan O'Brien who will be Dan Aykroyd, Lamorne Morris who will be Garrett Morris, and Sennott who will be Rosie Shuster.

Gerber consulted with her fellow actor Kristen Wiig from the show Palm Royale for some tips and interesting anecdotes about Wiig's past stint in SNL, where she was a cast member for a span of seven years starting from 2005 until 2012.

My goodness, while we were filming, I was constantly asking questions and expressing my admiration for SNL. During breaks, I would eagerly listen to any anecdotes they had to share with me," she shared with Entertainment Tonight during the premiere.

"She has always been a favorite of mine," she went on to say. "The work she did on that series was outstanding, so yeah, she gave me some words of wisdom and I'm really thrilled to revisit the 1970s."

She expressed her admiration for Jason Reitman, stating that he is an exceptionally talented individual, and the cast he has put together is truly remarkable.

Gerber spoke to E! News during the premiere of Palm Royale and shared about the experience of collaborating with Wiig, who is 50 years old, while filming their comedy-drama series that is set in the 1960s.

She expressed to the media that she was taking in everything that was going on around her. She admired the cast for the way they conducted themselves. They were all great role models, exhibiting high levels of professionalism and not being too self-important.

"We put on a highly entertaining performance," she remarked.

Palm Royale will be available for streaming on Apple TV+ starting from March 20th.
