The UFC 301 event heavily featured Brazilian fighters, and they put on an impressive show for their fellow citizens in Rio de Janeiro.

All the 13 matches presented Brazilian fighters, who managed to win an admirable score of 10-3. They also managed to achieve all of the performance of the night bonuses.

During the press conference after the event, UFC Senior Vice President of Content and International David Shaw announced that four individuals received $50,000 bonuses. These individuals included Mauricio Ruffy, Alessandro Costa, Michel Pereira, and Caio Borralho.

You can watch the entire press conference in the video provided below.

During the competition, out of the 13 fights that took place, 6 of them concluded with a decisive result. The majority of the fighters who emerged victorious due to their opponents' inability to continue, a total of 4, did not receive any rewards for their performances, except for Anthony Smith and Joanderson Brito.

In the first round, Smith defeated Vitor Petrino by using a guillotine maneuver, while Brito achieved a TKO win due to his opponent, Jack Shore, receiving a serious gash on his leg. The doctor at Octagonside had concerns that Shore's leg was actually broken, and therefore stopped the fight.

Take a peek at the champions who received the bonuses.

On May 4, 2024, a lightweight battle took place between Mauricio Ruffy of Brazil and Jamie Mullarkey of Australia at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During the UFC 301 event, Ruffy delivered a punch to Mullarkey as seen in the photo captured by Alexandre Loureiro/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images.

It's possible to say that Ruffy had the most outstanding performance of the night. He reminded me of Conor McGregor with his accurate striking and fighting posture. Ruffy defeated Jamie Mularkey effortlessly by using different strikes. Watching him fight, I couldn't help but wonder when he would be recognized as a top lightweight fighter from Brazil.

Make sure to keep his name in mind because he appears to be a possible issue in the 155-pound weight class.

On May 4, 2024, the UFC 301 event took place at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During one of the middleweight bouts, Caio Borralho from Brazil used his elbow against Paul Craig from Scotland, as seen in the photo taken by Alexandre Loureiro from Zuffa LLC via Getty Images.

The Fight Nerds' champion appeared focused and serious both during and after defeating Paul Craig, but he truly demonstrated his strength when he delivered powerful punches that rendered the seasoned middleweight unconscious.

Borralho realized that Craig was skilled at submitting his opponents and took precautions to not get caught on the ground, as Craig repeatedly tried to pull him into a guard position. Instead, Borralho took his time and seized the right moments to successfully land his hits.

After the fight, Borralho challenged Jared Cannonier, and it's possible that they can have an interesting showdown.

On May 4th, 2024, a flyweight UFC fight took place between Alessandro Costa of Brazil and Kevin Borjas of Peru at Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the photo captured by Alexandre Loureiro of Zuffa LLC via Getty Images, it shows Alessandro Costa performing a kick towards Kevin Borjas.

Based on the information provided, it seemed like Costa might struggle against Borjas. However, in actuality, the Brazilian fighter used a series of brutal leg kicks to take down his Peruvian rival and win the match via TKO.

During the fight, Costa appeared to be robust and dynamic. It's worth noting that in a previous match, he was able to keep up with Steve Erceg, who ended up being the primary title challenger for UFC 301. This has solidified Costa's position as a significant contender in the men's flyweight category.

In the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, there was an event called UFC 301 on May 4. During a middleweight match, Michel Pereira from Brazil performed a flip to get past his opponent, Ihor Potieria from Ukraine. The match took place at Farmasi Arena and was documented with a photo taken by Alexandre Loureiro/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images.

One of the liveliest athletes in the UFC delivered an impressive performance to his fellow citizens. Pereira defeated Ihor Potieria in the initial round with an astonishing and multifarious move that could be considered as the most remarkable of the year.

Pereira knocked out Potieria with a strong punch. Right after that, he flipped backwards and hit his opponent's chest with his knee (which could have been considered an illegal hit). Finally, he quickly submitted Potieria by using a standing guillotine, causing his opponent to pass out and ultimately securing the victory.

When Pereira was questioned about calling out a rival, he decided to keep it vague and stick to his usual approach. Although he has won eight consecutive fights, Pereira appears to prioritize putting on captivating displays rather than competing for a championship.

Currently, he keeps flaunting an impressive collection of skills and talents, making us question whether he has the potential to contend for the 185-pound championship—if he so desired.
