When Did WWE Decide To Vacate Rhea Ripley's Women's World Championship?

Rhea Ripley

According to a recent report, it has been disclosed the moment when WWE notified Rhea Ripley that she must step down from her position as Women's World Champion.

After winning against Becky Lynch on the biggest wrestling event, WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley was feeling extremely proud and accomplished. She kept her Women's World Championship title, and her spirits were soaring high.

But unfortunately, during the latest episode of Monday Night Raw on April 8th, Ripley encountered a major setback. In a backstage altercation with Liv Morgan, the wrestler sustained an injury that was confirmed on April 15th to be a sprained AC joint. Fans anxiously awaited the April 10th episode to see if Ripley would still be able to hold onto her title, especially after her previous successful defense.

Indeed, Rhea Ripley started Monday Night Raw by announcing that she had to give up her championship title after being the champion for 380 days. She was clearly emotional and also shared her plan to take a break and come back to seek revenge on Liv Morgan. Ripley referred to Morgan as a "coward" after she attacked her without any warning the week before. Although Morgan showed up on the ramp to confront Ripley, security guards kept them from interacting with each other.

Rhea Ripley's WWE Raw Injury: Time To Recover?

According to Bryan Alvarez, Ripley is expected to be sidelined for a period of three months. He mentioned this in his report.

During a physical altercation with Liv Morgan last week, she sustained a sprain in her AC joint. Liv unintentionally caused harm by throwing her into a wall. The standard recovery period for rehabilitative care is typically 4-6 weeks to restore full range of motion, and up to three months total before returning to normal activity.

A recent report from Fightful Select has provided additional information on the matter. It was clarified that Liv Morgan is not being held responsible for the unexpected incident that occurred on April 8th. Additionally, the report has revealed that the WWE made the call to have Ripley give up her title after the injury occurred just last week.

Triple H has spoken about the injury of Rhea Ripley and expressed his best wishes for her to recover soon.
