Rhea Ripley Vacates Women's World Championship On WWE Raw

Rhea Ripley has tragically lost her position as the Women's World Champion.

Just a few hours prior to the April 15 broadcast of WWE Raw, it surfaced that Rhea Ripley had encountered a significant injury that could require her to relinquish her championship title. Regrettably, this news proved to be accurate.

When Ripley walked in, she held her right arm in a sling and stated that she couldn't compete for a while. She due to her injury, she had to give up her title. The audience reacted to the news by shouting "bullsh*t", and Ripley shared their frustration.

During the Raw episode following WrestleMania, Liv Morgan assaulted The Eradicator in the backstage area. Rhea Ripley spoke out about Morgan's "revenge tour" and criticized her for attacking without warning. Ripley issued a straightforward warning, promising that when she returns, there will be consequences. She even stated that if she encounters Morgan, she will be detained in a Montreal prison. Morgan tried to intervene but was restrained by security personnel.

Afterwards in the evening, Ripley was noticed behind the scenes along with the other members of The Judgment Day. The ensemble hugged and expressed their good wishes for Ripley as she embarked on her journey to get better.

Bryan Alvarez has given more details about Ripley's injury. According to him, it's a sprained AC joint which might take up to 5 months to heal.

Last week, she got into a fight with Liv Morgan and ended up spraining her AC joint. Liv threw her into the wall, causing the injury which was completely unexpected. Generally, it takes around 4 to 6 weeks to fully recover and regain mobility. However, sometimes it can take up to three months before you're back to your old self.

Ripley emerged victorious at WrestleMania 39 to claim the Women's Championship after defeating Charlotte Flair. Moreover, The Eradicator was one of a select few champions who managed to defend her title at WrestleMania 40, triumphing over Becky Lynch in the weekend's opening bout. Ripley had a remarkable reign, holding on to the title for a grand total of 380 days.

Later on in the evening, fresh designs for the WWE Tag Team Championship were revealed.
