In the latest football news, a young midfielder, who is just 18 years old, played for England in their recent matches. At just 18 years and 342 days old, Mainoo joined the ranks of esteemed United players who have started an England game at a young age. However, he isn't quite the youngest, as that title goes to Duncan Edwards, who started at the age of 18 and 183 days. Marcus Rashford is also ahead of Mainoo, having started at the age of 18 and 209 days.

During England's matches, Mainoo exhibited remarkable skills such as his ability to stay composed, technical proficiency, ease with handling the ball and an exceptional ability to make long passes, thereby greatly impressing everyone.

"He had a composed demeanor, and had the ability to handle the ball even in stressful situations. His physical prowess was remarkable, thus we were willing to take more risks in our gameplay. The advantages that came with this strategic shift in handling the ball were evident."

In less than 20 minutes into the game, Mainoo helped England score their first goal against Belgium. He quickly made his way through the pitch and passed the ball to Jude Bellingham, who then moved it to Ivan Toney in the penalty area. Toney was fouled by an opposing player, resulting in a penalty kick, which he successfully converted into a goal.

During the second half, Southgate substituted Mainoo into the game and showed his support by hugging him on the sideline. He also complimented the player by sharing that he had an excellent week while training with the England team.

Southgate has stated that the individual appears to be very composed. It is apparent that he is absorbing all information that is presented to him.

When speaking with him strategically, it appears he has a grasp on all of those ideas. Nowadays, many young athletes are proficient in this area due to their training in the academy. His ease with handling the ball and passing in confined spaces is evident.

Several actions are being taken quickly, however, during the recent appearance he made against Brazil, some of his positive attributes were revealed. Often, younger individuals may not even consider these qualities.

As time passes by, one may become more contemplative about the flow of life. The moment of being fully immersed and taking advantage of every opportunity without a worry is truly exquisite and pure.

Mainoo's initial Premier League start for United took place in November 2023. Since then, he has participated in a total of 23 club matches and has become a key member of Erik ten Hag’s squad.

There are rumors circulating that Mainoo has become extremely important for England and should be included in Southgate's starting lineup for the 2024 European Championships in Germany.
