On Friday, the musician from America dropped a new track called "7 Minute Drill" and in it, he labeled his fellow rapper Lamar's recent album as "tragic."

Last year, there was a dispute that started when Cole claimed that he, Lamar, and Drake were the most significant three artists in modern rap in his song, First Person Shooter.

Since the start of the 2010s, the trio has been at the head of the genre. Lamar has managed to secure 17 Grammys, Drake has five to his name, and Cole has succeeded in taking home two.

However, Lamar declined Cole's proposal that they were on the same level while he was showcased on a music track named Like That, created by rap artist Future and music producer Metro Boomin.

Lamar claimed that there was no significant trio and stated that he works alone in his lyrics. Additionally, he expressed disapproval towards some of Drake and Cole's creations.

Cole included his thoughts on Lamar's career on his new mix tape Might Delete Later, saying that he has fallen off like The Simpsons. The 7 Minute Drill includes other insults related to Lamar's declining career.

However, Cole has committed to removing the song from music streaming services. He made this announcement to the audience during his headlining performance at a festival on Sunday, confessing that he thought the track was "uncool and full of foolishness."

During his speech at Dreamville Festival, he mentioned feeling obligated to react to Lamar's powerful verse, but he was unsure because he was grateful to be standing beside such great talents as Lamar and Drake.
