It's possible that Harvey Elliott, who just finished his time with the Under 21s, may get a chance to represent England soon. This comes after two other young players were given the opportunity to move up to the senior team during a recent training camp.

Earlier this week, Kobbie Mainoo was chosen and then replaced, and Jarrad Branthwaite was also selected. It is a very positive sign to be a part of the Young Lion team.

This season, senior recognition has been given to Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis and Levi Colwill. However, 20-year-old Elliott is still waiting for his turn to be recognized.

The individual from Liverpool played a significant role in England's victory in the Under 21s Euro tournament last year. Among the impressive events that occurred in Georgia, his independent goal during the German team's defeat was a highlight.

He scored two goals during the qualifying match in Azerbaijan, the first and fourth. This brings his total goals to seven in his last five similar matches. His decision to raise his collar seemed to show his confidence rather than a statement against the design on the back of the new uniform.

Harvey Elliott has the potential to become the next young footballer from England to get promoted to the national team.

On Friday, the midfielder played really well and stood out as his team defeated Azerbaijan by a margin of 5-1. He scored two goals for his team.

The player has been performing well for Liverpool and there is a chance he may earn a call-up to the senior England team.

According to Under 21 coach Lee Carsley, the outstanding performance of the Liverpool player each week and the influence he has on the game have placed him in an excellent position. Carsley commended the player on finishing the season with a powerful showing in the midst of a formidable team.

Although he has links with the team, I have no urge to hold them back. He possesses the skill to score a variety of goals. If he continues to do so, it would greatly benefit the senior team as those who can consistently produce high numbers are highly regarded.

Although England suffered a defeat in Ukraine last October, it seems certain that they will still qualify for next year's Under 21 Euros in Slovakia.

Elliott was able to score for Liverpool with the help of a dangerous cross from Tyler Morton, which happened in the middle of the first half. Noni Madueke also contributed to the score by getting a second goal right before the half-hour mark, when he managed to bundle in Jaden Philogene's energetic cross. As for the second half of the game, Taylor Harwood-Bellis headed towards the goal post from a corner taken by Morton, and Philogene was able to deflect the ball into the net.

Morgan Rogers, who was new to the team, was given the responsibility of being the front line. He quickly turned around inside the penalty area and cleverly noticed that Elliott was making a run towards the goal, allowing him to pass the ball and giving Elliott an easy goal.

As per the U21 coach Lee Carsley's statement, Elliott bettered his odds of selection by proving himself competent enough.

Elliott has now become the leading scorer in the qualifiers and it seems highly likely that he will secure a spot in England's U21 Euros next year.

He has surpassed Youssoufa Moukoko of Borussia Dortmund as the highest scorer in qualifying. This is quite an impressive achievement, and Elliott will surely try to maintain this record at his club. If he keeps scoring goals like the one he scored against Manchester United, adding to his nine goals in Liverpool's jersey, he might catch the attention of Southgate. So, it might be worth keeping a closer eye on him!

England's defense was not able to keep the opponent from scoring, as Burnley's goalkeeper James Trafford deflected the ball towards Ramin Nasirli who seized the chance and scored. Shortly after that, a new player in the game, Archie Gray from Leeds, charged forward and scored the fifth goal for England, just a few minutes after replacing Lewis.
