Harvey Elliott Scores Twice As England U21 Win 5-1 Against Azerbaijan U21

England secured a convincing win in Azerbaijan, with Harvey Elliott contributing two goals to the tally, boosting their chances for qualifying in the 2025 European Under-21 Championship.

In the 25th minute, the striker from Liverpool scored the first goal and then got another one in the latter part of the game, following goals from Noni Madueke and Jaden Philogene before and after the half-time break.

After 86 minutes, the hosts managed to score a goal thanks to Ramin Nasirli's effort.

However, Archie Gray from Leeds made the winning goal for England, leading them to a remarkable victory.

Gray, who was only 18 years and 10 days old at the time, managed to score a goal in the 88th minute. This achievement made him the fourth youngest player to ever score for England Under-21s.

Elliott has been the leading scorer for England during the qualifying phase, having scored a total of five goals. He also performed exceptionally in his last game against Northern Ireland by scoring two goals. Elliott is only 20 years old and has already established himself as an impressive player.

In Group F, England maintained their position in second place, having the same number of points as Ukraine, who defeated them earlier in October.

The teams that come in first place in their respective groups and the top three second-place teams will go directly to the finals in Slovakia. However, the other six teams that finished second can still qualify for the finals through the play-offs.

On Tuesday, England will play against Luxembourg at the Toughsheet Community Stadium located in Bolton.
