During her appearance on The One Show, the mother of three children confessed that her concerns about leaving them behind had started to dominate her thoughts.

In my opinion, making new friends was a highlight. However, what brought the most comfort was overcoming my fear of death. It used to consume my thoughts and disrupt my sleep. As a mother of three young kids, this was a major concern for me.

Do you suffer from health worries?

CHRISTINE MCGUINNESS: Yes. It was simply worrying and concerning, being a parent, naturally one worries about not being available to care for their children. However, it became an obsession for me. When on a pilgrimage, I discovered the importance of being present and living in the present moment. I learned to welcome and enjoy the current situation.
