Winners And Ratings For WWE Backlash In France

Kevin Owens And Randy Orton's Bloodline Battle

The WWE Backlash event kicked off in France with Kevin Owens, who hails from Canada and received a huge response from the audience. Randy Orton then took the stage, and the French crowd was familiar with every single word of his song despite it being in English.

The game commenced with a chaotic fight in which Kevin Owens stunned some uninvolved security guards. Nick Aldis switched the original rules to a Street Fight making the crowd cheer ecstatically since he uttered "Street Fight" in French.

During an amusing instance, Kevin Owens executed a Frog Splash on Tama Tonga. Orton then proceeded to playfully consider doing a similar move, but ultimately decided against it and stepped down from the nearby barricade in a composed manner.

At the beginning of the fight, Tama Tonga was being brutally attacked in a manner that resembled how professional wrestlers are introduced to the WWE. However, Tonga managed to turn the tables by bringing a kendo stick into the battle, which he combined with some trash can lids.

Randy Orton executed a move called RKO on Tama Tonga. At that moment, it appeared that Orton and KO were about to emerge victorious. However, Tanga Loa showed up unexpectedly, delivering a move called Thumb Strike on Kevin Owens, resulting in The Bloodline winning the match.

Bayley Beats Naomi And Tiffany Stratton

Bayley was greeted with loud cheers of “Hey Bayley” from the crowd, while Tiffany Stratton was met with chants of “Tiffy Time!”. Unfortunately, Naomi did not receive any cheers or chants from the audience.

The competition was mainly between Tiffany Stratton and Bayley, where they kept shouting at each other during the show. However, the audience was impressed by Naomi as she displayed amazing agility and powerful moves.

The Triple Threat participants appeared to be attempting to equal the Street Fight in terms of energy from the outset of the contest. And, astonishingly, they nearly succeeded even though they didn't have any weapons at their disposal.

Bayley emerged victorious in a fiercely contested match against Naomi by using a rollup. After the match, Naomi showed sportsmanship by congratulating Bayley. If the match had taken place in the United States, it could have resulted in Naomi turning into a villainous character.

Damian Priest Defeats Jey Uso

Behind the scenes, The New Bloodline had a discreet conversation with Jey Uso that conveyed a significant message.

JD McDonagh entered the ring, just like his previous actions that caused The Judgment Day to lose on Raw. This created an opportunity for people to question if Priest's victory was certain.

French supporters have adopted a new cheer, screaming “yeet” or “no yeet” whenever Priest and Uso engage in a physical confrontation.

The day of judgment got in the way and nearly caused Damian Priest to lose his WWE World Championship. However, Priest fought back and emerged victorious over Uso by executing a South of Heaven move from the top rope.

After the game, Priest had a heated exchange with his Judgment Day companions, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

The French commentator for WWE, Philippe Cherau, made a lengthy statement indicating that WWE Backlash had achieved the biggest live arena ticket sales in the history of WWE.

Jade Cargill And Bianca Belair Win Against Kabuki Warriors

Corey Graves made a claim that Jade Cargill is wrestling in a WWE title match too early on in her career. However, this claim is not accurate as Santino managed to bag the WWE Intercontinental Championship in his very first match.

Bianca Belair was highly favored by fans and they were extremely enthusiastic about the moments of strength displayed between Belair and Cargill.

During the match, The Kabuki Warriors made numerous rapid tag exchanges to gain an advantage over Bianca Belair. Jade Cargill was prevented from intervening by staying on the sidelines. As a result, the tension in the arena intensified, culminating in an explosive hot tag.

Cargill pulled off an impressive move by doing a springboard cross body on both members of The Kabuki Warriors as soon as she entered the ring.

Cargill and Sane messed up the timing of a military press, but Cargill managed to save the situation with a standing spinebuster. The referee, Dan Angler, cancelled a pinfall attempt because Sane was not the legal wrestler. In my opinion, this was not planned because Asuka remained on the edge of the ring before tagging in uncomfortably.

In the midst of the match, some parts were awkwardly executed, but the female wrestlers were able to synchronize again thanks to the collaborative move of Belair and Cargill, known as the stereo power bomb.

Jade Cargill performed an impressive move on Kairi, flipping her around in multiple ways and concluding with Jaded. This particular moment stood out as the highlight of the entire match.

Cody Rhodes Wins Against AJ Styles

Before the primary occurrence, there were many advertisements, mainly because it was only 12:10 pm Pacific Standard Time, and there was still an hour to go on this pre-launch event.

AJ Styles wore his ring attire as a tribute to his past NWA Championship fight with Dusty Rhodes.

The spectators cheered AJ Styles by singing a long-lasting chant in support of him. Some moments even caused the camera to shake. Evidently, the chant was related to the term "phenomenal."

Even after the song ended, Cody's fans continued to sing every single word of the song.

During a particular moment, Cody performed a callback move to Stardust that caused the audience to chant "Stardust."

During the match, there was a moment that felt uncomfortable when Cody attempted to execute a superplex on Styles, but struggled to hold him in place resulting in Styles being dropped prematurely.

Even though this audience was amazing, their focus appeared to be on chanting instead of giving their attention to the game.

The WWE crowd went wild when AJ Styles executed a Burning Hammer move and Cody Rhodes managed to withstand the impact with a kick out at one. This was a particularly unique moment in WWE history, and one that I cannot recall ever witnessing before.

Rhodes made a slight overcorrection on a Cody Cutter aimed at AJ, but it turned out to be impressive. After that, Rhodes concluded with a Cross Rhodes move, resulting in his victory.
