The Confederation of British Industry will find a new president quickly. Members can vote every year. This will let them fire any directors on the board. These promises come before a big vote next week.

A group said they got reviewed and the result was "people management skills" are not important. They rejected being called "toxic" or "misogynistic".

There have been allegations of sexual harassment at the business group. More than a dozen women came forward. Two women said they were raped by their colleagues at the CBI. That's why there's going to be a review.

The business group is losing members since The Guardian newspaper made revelations. They want to prove that they can still represent their interests.

People don't believe calling CBI culture "toxic" or "misogynistic" is fair or helpful. However, views on culture are all over the place. People don't really know about different experiences and they don't reflect on themselves enough.

The CBI made a plan to convince people to support it. This plan came after a big survey called a "listening exercise".

On June 6, people will be asked if they have faith in the CBI's changes to reform their governance, culture, and purpose.

To pass, the vote needs over 50% of members' votes. Every member only gets one vote.

The CBI might get a big plan. Politician talks might start again if there is support. It would renew the CBI.

The group wants to find a new president soon. Brian McBride is the current president. He will continue to be president until the end of 2021.

The company hired Ffion Hague to check its organization and ways of doing things. Ffion will talk to the board about her findings by July's end.

They will end late-night parties. They will make evening events finish earlier.

The CBI will update their board before September. They will create a new culture subcommittee. They now have a chief people officer.

Members asked for a business voice for the whole country before the 2024 election. They also wanted more attention for small and medium-sized businesses and those not in London.

The CBI's culture is not completely toxic, but there's still a need to instill a uniform set of principles for our employees.

The head of CBI is Rain Newton-Smith.

According to the trade body, leaders and the board didn't pay much attention towards overseeing the organisation or risks. Principia Advisory conducted a separate review that found this out. They focused more on external goals.

Principia said that calling CBI culture toxic or misogynistic isn't accurate or helpful. However, there are problems with how people view the culture. They don't always understand different experiences. They also don't reflect on themselves enough.

Rain Newton-Smith, director general of the CBI, stated that the organization will have a say on the UK's economic challenges with the upcoming general election. This will reinforce the CBI.

Principia found that CBI has a strong identity. It motivates staff. Newton Smith added that focusing on CBI came at a cost.

She said that the CBI's culture is not always toxic. However, they need to establish the same values for all employees.

We're working hard and hoping that our members will notice the big changes we're making. By rethinking our goals, we're also bringing in new people who support our cause.

If you just left, tell us what you want and we'll deal with it. We'll keep proving we matter on the big topics.

Problems with the CBI began in March. Allegations against director general Tony Danker were published in the Guardian.

Mr Danker said sorry and resigned while the CBI asked Fox Williams to investigate the claims.

A month passed by and the newspaper wrote another article. The article claimed that more than twelve women had approached them. These women reported encounters with colleagues involving different forms of sexual harassment.

The CBI stopped events and sacked Mr Danker. Fox Williams made a report.

The Guardian published a report in April. An employee said she was raped. This was the final report.

At the day's end, many members left or stopped being a part of CBI. CBI stopped their policy and membership work.

The group pledged to hold a vote and earn back trust.
