Netflix viewers are extremely angry about a scene in the Prince Andrew documentary "Scoop", which they believe wasn't needed.

The latest film reveals the tale of the notorious Newsnight discussion in which the royal personage endeavoured to create a gap between himself and the convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, during the year 2019.

The film has several notable scenes that have sparked discussion, such as the portrayal of Prince Andrew's teddy bear tower that supposedly sat on his bed in Buckingham Palace. However, most viewers, with the exception of Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis, seem to agree that there is one part in particular that could have been left out.

The particular situation happens right after the Newsnight discussion, which was led by Maitlis (played by Gillian Anderson), has been recorded and is about to be broadcasted on BBC Two.

Prince Andrew intended to watch the interview but changed his mind and opted for a bath instead. As he tried to unwind, he kept hearing the ongoing reactions to the interview through his phone constantly ringing in the other room. He got out of the bath, and the camera unintentionally captured his bare buttocks from the back.

Viewers questioned whether it was necessary to show Prince Andrew's naked buttocks. Journalist Rob Lownie commented that Rufus Sewell's performance was impressive, but the writing was self-centered and displaying Prince Andrew's posterior was irrelevant.

Sewell has talked about the particular moment, disclosing that he donned a fake buttocks for the scene.

You can now watch Scoop on Netflix. It's a movie that's inspired by the autobiography of Sam McAlister, the ex-producer of Newsnight who arranged for Prince Andrew's interview.

Peter Moffat and Geoff Bussetil authored Scoop, which also features Keeley Hawes, Romola Garai, and Connor Swindles from Sex Education. Check out The Independent's evaluation of the movie here.

Another project is being developed as a competition to the Prince Andrew Newsnight interview show. This project is backed by Maitlis and will be shown on Prime Video. Unlike the previous project, which had Sewell and Anderson, this one will feature Michael Sheen and Ruth Wilson as the main actors.
