Sarah Mayhew: Victim formally identified after human remains found in south London park

The discovery of human remains in a park located in the south portion of London has been confirmed through official identification.

Last Tuesday, the body of a 38-year-old woman named Sarah Mayhew was found in Rowdown Fields located in New Addington, Croydon.

Ms Mayhew's family members in Croydon have received news of her passing and are receiving assistance from officers designated to support families during this difficult time.

The Metropolitan Police stated that two individuals, a male aged 44 and a female aged 48, were taken into custody on Saturday under suspicion of committing murder. They are currently being detained.

Authorities have apprehended two individuals who were acquainted with Ms. Mayhew, and Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe stated that there is no ongoing search for additional suspects in relation to her passing.

He expressed sympathy for the family of Sarah and wished them strength to cope with the distressing news.

Additional news from Sky News reveals the identity of the deceased woman who was killed by a stabbing in Bradford. The perpetrator, who is being referred to as an "evil monster," dismembered the woman's body into 224 fragments.

The leftover parts were dispatched for pressing genetic testing, which verified them as belonging to someone of the human species. A medical examination was subsequently conducted during the weekend.
