The Metropolitan Police recently paid tribute to its officers who died in the line of duty. This was done at the annual National Police Memorial Day Service held in London. The solemn ceremony was attended by police officers, families and friends of fallen officers, and members of the public. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by brave men and women who have given their lives while protecting others. During the service, the names of officers who lost their lives on duty were read out loud. The Metropolitan Police also laid wreaths to honor these fallen heroes. The police force is an essential part of our society, and we owe a debt of gratitude to the officers who put their lives on the line every day to make our communities safe. This day of remembrance is an opportunity to pause and reflect on their selfless service and enduring legacy. Let us honor their memory by continuing to support our police officers and the vital work that they do.

According to the Met, the family of Ms Mayhew is receiving assistance from the police.

Police have confirmed that the human body discovered in a southern London park belongs to Sarah Mayhew, a female aged 38.

Authorities were notified and dispatched to Rowdown Fields in Croydon during the morning hours on Tuesday when Ms. Mayhew was found.

Police took a 44-year-old male and a 48-year-old female into custody on Saturday, and both are still being detained.

The Metropolitan Police department mentioned that the family of Ms. Mayhew has been notified and are being provided with assistance by law enforcement officials while the investigation proceeds.

Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe expressed his condolences to the family of Sarah, acknowledging the distressing news they have received.

It's a terrible thing when families lose someone they love in such a tragic way. We'll keep giving them our support as we investigate what happened.

The pair who are being detained were familiar to Sarah and we have no current intention of pursuing anyone else in relation to her passing.
