On social media, a picture of a cheerful Louis was posted with a message that says, "Prince Louis, here's to a wonderful 6th year full of love and joy! Thank you for all the lovely messages we've received today."

The picture was captured several days ago in Windsor, and it's believed that there has been no editing done to it.

It is known that William and Kate shared the picture to express gratitude towards those who sent positive thoughts and also safeguard their personal space.

It is predicted that Princess Charlotte's upcoming birthday will undergo a similar process which will differ from the usual protocol of releasing pictures to the media ahead of time with a non-disclosure agreement.

It's been reported that the reason for the shift in procedure is because the family is undergoing an unparalleled situation.

The departure from tradition when it comes to releasing photographs is understandable given the extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves in.

A joyful young boy is beaming in front of his mother's camera, and Prince Louis continues to exhibit the same playful and mischievous spirit that has captivated the audience during major royal occasions in recent times.

As he continues to mature, the Prince and Princess of Wales expressed immense appreciation for the outpouring of birthday greetings they received for their son on his sixth birthday.

However, this year was different. It was uncertain whether a new picture of him would be shared. In the past, photographs of the kids on their birthday were always expected and taken by the Princess.

However, they are going through an exceptional period, with Kate undergoing cancer treatment and their increased need for confidentiality.

Certainly, there must have been talks about whether a fresh image would regain attention towards them. This is particularly true considering the uproar that their previous photo for Mother's Day triggered.

Overall, they made the decision to post a raw photo taken by their mother on their social media, just like any other parent would. However, they opted not to share it with the media the night before, as they had done in the past.

Right now, considering the circumstances, it's understandable that they desire to execute things in their own style.

Louis was last spotted in public during Christmas Day when the Royal Family made their customary appearance at the King's Sandringham Estate to attend church.

The photo was made public following the return of Prince William, who recently resumed his official duties after his wife Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis.
