Catherine, also known as the Princess of Wales, is currently undergoing medical care following a diagnosis of cancer.

Following the dispute over alterations made to a family photo for Mother's Day, Kensington Palace has confirmed that no modifications were made to the picture.

According to a spokesperson from the palace, the Prince and Princess of Wales have expressed their gratitude for the birthday messages they received for their child.

The palace acknowledged the challenge of respecting Catherine's need for privacy during her cancer treatment following appeals to do so. Despite this, they made the decision to release a photo of Louis on his birthday as a show of gratitude towards those who sent their well-wishes.

The palace recently confirmed that a photo of Louis, who holds the fourth position in succession to the throne, was captured in Windsor in the past few days.

A cheerful image of the young male aristocrat attending school was shared on online platforms together with the statement: "Rejoice in your 6th year of being present in this world, Prince Louis! We are grateful for all the considerate greetings you received today."

According to the palace, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their young family have been going through a time that has not been seen before. They say this as Catherine is still recuperating.

During the month of January, she underwent surgery on her abdomen. Following that, various examinations confirmed that she had developed cancer and the course of treatment started towards the end of February.

The Prince of Wales captured a family snapshot and shared it on Mother's Day in March. However, the image was met with controversy as photo agencies decided to pull the picture from circulation. Their concerns stemmed from suspicions that the picture may have been altered using digital techniques.

This caused a lot of speculation on social media about conspiracies, and when Catherine announced that she had cancer in a video statement, the recording was made separately by BBC Studios.
