Ed Sheeran calls Ipswich Town players to plan celebration

Ipswich Town

Ed Sheeran intends to commemorate Ipswich's promotion to the Premier League by enjoying a fun-filled evening with the footballers.

The famous musician from Suffolk, who is the sponsor of the team's jerseys, recorded himself waking up early in Miami, USA, to participate in the festivities of the soccer team named Tractor Boys.

On Saturday's home match at Portman Road, the club achieved promotion to the highest league by triumphing over Huddersfield with a score of 2-0.

Sheeran made a phone call to the players and invited them to a party to celebrate when he comes back to the UK on Wednesday.

He made a jest that his obligation to gather funds for his sponsorship was hindering his availability until that point.

On Instagram, Sheeran stated that Ipswich Town has achieved consecutive promotions, which filled him with strong emotions.

Not too far back in time, I was seated at Portman Road witnessing their defeat in League One in the presence of 11,000 attendees. This is an enormous development for the club, the town, and football as a whole, as it demonstrates that anything is feasible with conviction and ardor.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the club, including the players and super Kieran. It's unfortunate that I can't join in on the celebration, but it's important to avoid having another betting company as a sponsor next season. Let's continue to support our team. It's a very emotional moment, and I look forward to seeing you all in the Premier League.

After an 18-year absence, Ipswich has made a return to the top tier of soccer.
