The primary actor of the show, Ralf Little who portrays Neville Parker, announced that Sean Maguire will return for the upcoming special episode. Sean Maguire played the character of Marlon Collins during the show's initial release in 2010.

Little admitted that seeing Maguire return was thrilling, and noted that it was a pleasant surprise for those who pay close attention to the show since his reappearance wasn't widely publicized.

Despite this, Little confessed that his appearance had irked him somewhat.

Before the upcoming show, the actor talked to the press and mentioned that he felt a bit bothered. He explained that there's only one other person who has performed in the show twice, besides him. However, he acknowledged that this person played the same character both times, while he was the only one who has played two distinct characters. Thus, he still keeps that personal achievement.

Since 2020, Little hasn't portrayed Neville frequently. However, several years back in 2014, the star from Royle Family had made an appearance as a different character.

The performer mentioned that only people who are really observant will notice Marlon's comeback because there isn't a lot of attention drawn to it.

Little mentioned that the return of the individual after a lengthy period was not explicitly mentioned in the episode. Little also shared that he had personally interacted with Sean Maguire a few times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed his company, describing him as entertaining, humorous, skilled, and an exceptional actor.

After a brief absence, it has been announced that Sean Maguire will be making a comeback to the popular TV show 'Death in Paradise'. Fans of the show will be delighted to hear this news, as Maguire's character has been sorely missed. The exact details of his return and how long he will be staying are still unknown, but it is sure to add an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming season.

The upcoming set of episodes will showcase multiple famous personalities, such as Hayley Mills, Richard Fleeshman, and Pearce Quigley.

In other parts of the show, there are also cameos from several well-known personalities. Regarding the other invitees, he expressed: "It's always lovely to have pals join in, which has been amazing for me. For instance, Richard Fleeshman, whom I've been acquainted with for two decades. He's an excellent performer and a wonderful guy."

Little acknowledged that he was truly starstruck by the one and only guest star he had the opportunity to work with. He expressed that given her distinguished reputation and vast experience, it wouldn't have been far-fetched for her to display diva-like behavior or be difficult and demanding. However, Little revealed that she was the complete opposite, exhibiting a gentle, professional, sweet, fun, funny, and sociable personality – an absolute dream to work with. He described her as a living legend in the industry.

The TV show Death in Paradise is broadcasted on BBC One every Sunday at 9pm.
