Sheffield Wednesday made an announcement regarding Danny Rohl taking over as the new manager of the club.

At the moment, the Owls are in last place in the Sky Bet Championship. They recently fired Xisco Munoz after a very bad beginning to the season.

Previously, the individual from Germany served as an assistant coach at Bayern Munich under the leadership of Hansi Flick. He also provided his expertise to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga while working with Ralph Hasenhuttl. Upon his arrival at Hillsborough, he will be taking on the responsibility of a head coach for the very first time.

Rohl also has experience working in the Premier League, as he previously worked for Southampton under Hasenhuttl's management.

The new manager, aged 34, has become the permanent leader of the Owls team, making him the 11th manager to hold this position within the past 12 years. Starting immediately, he will oversee the team's players, with his inaugural appearance as manager occurring in the dugout during a match against Watford.

Danny Rohl has been named as the new manager of Sheffield Wednesday, making him the eleventh permanent manager to take on the role in just twelve years.

The former coach, Xisco Munoz, left his position after only being in charge for less than four months. This came after Darren Moore was fired in July.

On Wednesday, Xisco was fired from his position in less than four months, and the dismissal was announced quickly with a short message.

The announcement was made that Xisco would be leaving right away, and in addition, it was noted that the Owls appreciates Xisco and his team's work and hopes for their success in the future.

We have now started the process of selecting a new manager, and we will not provide any additional information on this matter presently.

Prior to Xisco's tenure, Darren Moore was the head coach of Wednesday. He had already led the team to the Championship by winning the League One playoffs in 2021.
