In 2023, Dale gained fame for being a guest on a daytime TV program, hosted by Steph McGovern, where they shared a meal together.

The person of age 28 was afflicted with an unrestrainable form of synovial sarcoma in their left lung since the year 2021 and had to go through surgeries and different kinds of chemotherapy procedures to cope with it.

On Wednesday, the 10th of April, McGovern expressed her sorrow about Bowes’s passing on X/Twitter. She wrote that she felt devastated by the news.

According to her, Dale was an amazing person who joined us for lunch and always shared a lot of wise and happy moments, even though he was going through a tough cancer treatment.

Gavin Wilson, who appears on Talk TV, expressed his condolences on social media. He stated that Dale was greatly loved and that he was one of the lunch buddies of Steph from Packed Lunch on Channel 4. This news is devastating for the family.

Steph's jam-packed midday show, which stopped airing last year, showcased famous visitors, conversations, activities and cooking portions.

Bowes appeared on Steph's Packed Lunch in March 2023 and discussed his cancer treatment while engaging in a conversation about assisted dying.

"I have been fighting with cancer for the past 18 months and unfortunately, the current medical procedures are not capable of completely curing it," he stated, as he expressed his backing for assisted death for individuals with a terminal illness.

In October of last year, Channel 4 shared the news that they were cancelling Steph’s Packed Lunch, citing "tough choices" as the reason. When the show's last episode aired in December 2023, Bowes expressed gratitude to her Instagram followers for watching.

"We have come to the conclusion of Steph's Packed Lunch. When I saw the montage at the end, it made me so emotional that I had tears streaming down my face. I deeply appreciate every single person who tuned into the show, and I want to send my affection to all the viewers, my lunch buddies, the cast, and the crew," he expressed.

Channel 4 has committed an error, but regrettably, it seems like our messages are not being heard or acknowledged.

As per a fundraising page created by a friend of Bowes, who is a television personality, he had a desire to become a geography teacher.

From the beginning, Dale has had to struggle in his life's journey. During his childhood, Dale was a cheerful, active, and outgoing kid who enjoyed pulling pranks and assuming leadership positions among his peers. This description comes from his buddy Declan McColl, who wrote it on the webpage.

During the month of March, McColl released a statement informing that Bowes, who was under the care of medical experts, had exhausted all possible treatments. As a result, Bowes was moved to a hospice where they were receiving palliative care.

According to the update, Dale's condition deteriorated further and he was taken to St Gemma's Hospice on March 25, 2024 to receive care at the end of his life.
