Curtis Scott, a rugby league player in exile, has claimed that his fellow players in the NRL are afraid of him pursuing a professional boxing career. He has even invited Tevita Pangai Jnr to fight him in the ring.

Only a short while after being rejected for a comeback in NRL, it has been uncovered by Fox Sports Australia that the organization No Limit is planning to introduce Scott in their next event as a preliminary fight to Sam Goodman's Pay-Per-View on March 13.

Last December, the 26-year-old, who had been involved in several off-field incidents and legal disputes, was refused the permission to make a comeback to the NRL. Consequently, he was recommended to consider joining the English Super League instead.

The ex NRL rebel is now focusing on boxing as his main interest and is determined to make a career out of it. He is showing his commitment by training alongside Australian boxer Brock Jarvis.

However, the major inquiry is: With whom will he compete?

George Rose, who is the CEO of No Limit, recently stated that they have made contracts available to several former and current NRL players. However, there has been no response from any of them.

Scott mentioned that although he understands that many individuals desire to accuse him, it appears that many of those same sportspeople are now avoiding him.

Scott used to be celebrated as a possible NSW Origin player, having won the Melbourne premiership in 2017. However, his career took a negative turn due to various incidents that occurred off the field.

The football player received a community corrections order lasting 12 months in 2022 for three offenses against his former girlfriend. The charges included physically harming her, assaulting her, and intentionally causing fear or physical harm by stalking or intimidating her.

In 2021, Scott lost his job at the Canberra Raiders after a problem at a nightclub, but he was later proven innocent in court.

Nevertheless, even though he claimed to have transformed, the NRL denied his plea for reinstatement just before the Christmas holidays. This led him to pursue a career in professional boxing.

When asked about his decision to change careers, Scott expressed his frustration with the NRL.

At the moment, I am engaged in the sport of boxing.

"I am enthusiastic about discovering the extent to which I can stretch my abilities."

What about No Limit's struggle to find a rival?

The ex-centre who played for the Prime Minister's XIII in 2019 expressed their vexation, stating that they were aware of many individuals who desired to attack them recently.

However, presently they possess an opportunity to take action, but everyone seems to be frightened and avoiding it.

I have come across many unflattering comments and criticisms posted by people about me on the internet.

However, nobody has ever directly spoken to me about it face-to-face.

I'm not shocked though, these days people tend to act strong when they are hiding behind screens like phones or computers.

However, many fighters are available to be paired with me.

I'm going to let George handle all of it and come up with a solution.

I am aware that Tevita is also currently undergoing training in Brisbane.

I am uncertain about his intentions, however, there is no reason why he should not pursue them.

However, it's not concerning any other person, it's only regarding myself.

"I am really eager to step into the ring and demonstrate the fruits of my labor. I plan on putting forth my utmost effort."

According to Rose, he had a difficult time getting Scott a fight for the March showcase, but he is still hopeful it will happen. This was shared with Fox Sports Australia.

"For months, Curtis has been persistently asking me to arrange a fight for him," stated the CEO of No Limit.

"We genuinely believed that we had reached our destination last week."

I was approached by some NRL players, both past and present, who were eager to physically confront him. However, when we presented them with contracts, they suddenly became unresponsive.

We have an individual who is fully prepared and eager to commence.

I understand that teaming up with Brock Jarvis - who is known for being extremely fit and diligent in boxing - has had a significant impact on him.

Last year, Scott talked to The Daily Telegraph and stated that he had greatly improved his life. He also proposed a clause that prohibits him from consuming alcohol to be included in all NRL contracts he signs.

He stated that many of the errors he committed in the past occurred when he was drunk, and he has decided to eliminate alcohol from his life.

I aspire to demonstrate to myself that I've developed and matured as an individual.

I have committed errors in the past, however, I gained knowledge from them. My aim is to assist others.

I deeply apologize for bringing shame to the game.

Every day, I must force myself to gaze into the mirror and sometimes it's arduous to witness my reflection.
