The 2024 season of Formula 1 has already started and the teams are getting ready for the upcoming race on Saturday. However, Christian Horner's controversial actions are still creating a buzz in the community.

During Friday's activities in Bahrain, Carlos Sainz from Ferrari performed well and ranked first in the third free practice session. This created an exciting Ferrari-Red Bull rivalry for the upcoming qualifying round. Lando Norris from McLaren also showed remarkable speed. Unfortunately, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell from Mercedes were unable to sustain their impressive performance from the previous day.

During the qualifying round, Max Verstappen managed to beat Ferrari with a faster lap time of 1:29:179, securing his spot on pole. He outperformed Charles Leclerc by 0.228 seconds. Hamilton, unfortunately, qualified in the ninth spot. However, his teammate Russell turned out to be quite impressive during the final lap, landing himself in third place and putting him in a position to potentially compete with the leaders. The top five was concluded by Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso.

In another location, Christian Horner caught the interest of the media once more when messages sent by him on WhatsApp to a female coworker were released to the public. This may cause embarrassment for Horner, who is the head of the Red Bull racing team. Prior to this incident, he was already investigated and found not guilty of accusations of inappropriate conduct.

"Verstappen On Pole: Securing Top Spot"

The track was really enjoyable with great traction. I'm thrilled to have secured pole position - I must admit, it came as a bit of a surprise but thankfully the car worked in our favor.

"We had to work on some minor adjustments to achieve that equilibrium. With those adjustments, we were able to drive the car more aggressively and take a further leap in the qualifying round."

The competition is expected to be neck and neck. Nonetheless, I hold a belief that we will perform exceptionally well in the race.

Leclerc Upset With Ferrari Over Bahrain GP Qualifying

During the initial qualification session of the season, Leclerc was a strong contender for first place. He was competing with his teammate Carlos Sainz and Verstappen.

Nonetheless, the racer from Monaco ultimately came in second, clocking in a time that was two-tenths of a second behind Verstappen. He felt let down because he could have secured the pole position.

Verstappen Starts Strong In 2023, Secures Bahrain Pole

For a brief moment, Max Verstappen grabbed everyone's attention and diverted it from his team leader Christian Horner. This happened when Verstappen secured the first starting position for the inaugural race of the brand new Formula One season, which is happening in Bahrain.

The accusations surrounding Horner have completely dominated the lead-up to the initial race of the season.

On Wednesday, Red Bull Racing's parent company, Red Bull GmbH, cleared the 50-year-old of any wrongdoing after conducting an internal investigation into allegations of "inappropriate behavior" towards a female co-worker. However, the following day, numerous WhatsApp messages believed to be written by him surfaced in the F1 community.
