The forward for Bayern Munich, Harry Kane, expressed that he was somewhat dissatisfied with their outcome of a tie with Real Madrid in the initial round of their semi-finals in the Champions League. Nevertheless, he holds unwavering faith that they can secure a spot in the following week's match.

In the 24th minute of the match, Madrid took the lead even though they were not dominating the game. Toni Kroos' impressive pass found Vinicius Jr and he calmly scored to give the visiting team an advantage at halftime.

In the second half of the game, Munich managed to score two goals within four minutes. The first goal was scored by Leroy Sane, followed by Jamal Musiala getting fouled in the penalty area and Harry Kane taking a successful penalty shot. This resulted in Munich taking the lead. Madrid, who had encountered a similar situation in the quarter-final against Manchester City, did not give up and managed to make a comeback by scoring a penalty through Vinicius. As a result, the game ended with both teams having an equal chance of winning in the second leg.

Kane expressed to TNT Sports his mild disappointment over the game. He mentioned that they had some opportunities to score especially during set plays. However, they were aware that the game would be challenging being a Champions League semi-final.

Real Madrid is among the top-notch teams in Europe and they possess the ability to take advantage of one or a couple of opportunities, which they showcased today. Naturally, we feel disheartened that we didn't secure a victory, but there's still a chance for us to triumph next week.

Bayern dominated the early stages of the game, with Madrid struggling to keep up. Thanks to a few impressive saves from Lunin, Madrid managed to stay on an equal footing. However, the visitors suddenly took the lead with a surprise counter-attack.

Kane remarked: "At the beginning of the game, we were in control for the initial 10 to 15 minutes and even had a few opportunities to score. However, the opposing team unexpectedly scored against the run of our play."

They gained momentum and we found it difficult to execute our game plan. However, in the second half, we responded with increased energy and rightfully earned two goals. Although we were unsuccessful in obtaining a third goal, there is still everything to fight for.

"We'll pick ourselves up, even though it was difficult, and we're excited for the upcoming week."

Kane scored a penalty, increasing his number of goals to 43 in his debut season at Munich. This impressive feat was achieved in just as many games.

Kane acknowledged that their season hasn't been smooth sailing, losing the Bundesliga championship to Bayer Leverkusen. However, he joined the team from Tottenham last year specifically for the high-stakes matches.

He expressed that the season has been positive until now, but the upcoming match is of utmost importance. The ultimate challenge lies ahead next week when they face Real Madrid on their home turf.

All our hard work and efforts of this year are at stake in this competition, therefore, we must figure out a way to achieve our goal.

I've been part of this team for a long time, not just for a single year. However, at the beginning of this year, winning trophies was the most important thing for us. Unfortunately, things didn't work out well for us in the Bundesliga and cup. But, the Champions League is the biggest and most crucial trophy we're aiming for.

This is precisely the reason why I am here - to participate in significant matches and critical junctures. There is nothing grander than playing away from home next week.

Jude Bellingham, who plays on the same team as Kane for England, was taken out of the game during the second half. Madrid's coach Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged that the young player, who is only 20 years old, was not performing as well as he could have.

According to him, Bellingham was feeling exhausted and had reached a point where he could no longer carry on. However, he reassured that Bellingham will regain his energy and excel as before. He also mentioned that Bellingham might have sustained an injury that affected his performance, but even without that, he didn't perform at his best today. Nevertheless, he was confident that Bellingham would make a comeback.

Bellingham made an effort to divert the attention of his fellow English team member Kane just before he was about to take a penalty shot. Unfortunately, Kane was not swayed by Bellingham's words.

Kane reported not understanding the words that were coming out of the other person's mouth. He mentioned observing them quietly utter something. When he's focusing on a task, Kane enters a mindset where he tries to ignore all external factors. Kane assumes that the other person was attempting to say something that would distract him from his goal.
