McCarthy shared a photo on Monday where she was seen at a charity event celebrating the famous choreographer, Matthew Bourne, along with the director Adam Shankman.

People who admire the celebrity and well-known individuals rushed to leave comments - including Streisand, whose post was taken down and created negative attention.

The celebrity who appeared in Funny Girl penned down: "Send him my good wishes. Have you consumed Ozempic medication?"

McCarthy's supporters quickly noticed the remark, and one of them took to Twitter, saying: "Oh my goodness, could someone please show Barbra Streisand how to send a direct message?"

The comment made by Streisand was taken down subsequently, and she has now clarified why she authored it in another post on X.
