O'Sullivan is on a streak of 36 consecutive wins and is currently in control of both the frame and the match.

Day manages to stay in the game by scoring a run of 41, securing another point on the board and keeping his slim chances of winning alive.

Certainly, however, it's insufficient and tardy.

The end point is almost reached by the Warrior, who just needs to win one more round to secure their victory.

O'Sullivan Dominates Day 12-6

Day managed to gain control of the frame with a run of 37, but unfortunately, he couldn't take advantage of his chance. He ruined his positional shot from black to red by overscrewing it.

Regardless of the outcome of this game for the Welsh player, it's clear that he has had ample opportunities to succeed.

O'Sullivan Dominates Day With 12-6 Win

Day had an opportunity early on, but unfortunately missed a red ball that hit the side of the left corner while attempting to create a group of balls.

O'Sullivan Triumphs Over Day 11-6

O'Sullivan has scored 34 points and is currently in the leading position, but he missed a chance to put the black ball into the right corner pocket.

He returns to the table shortly thereafter, however, he is unable to make any progress on the bunch of red balls close to the pink spot, so he opts to play a defensive move instead.

"Well done!" - O'Sullivan successfully completes difficult double shot as viewers applaud.

In the entire field, the initial round is similarly messy and depends on the hues.

Wilson emerges victorious, bringing him two frames closer to the quarterfinals.

The Rocket takes advantage of a safety mistake made by Day, and with that, he manages to pot all the remaining balls in a messy first game of this last part of the match, securing the win with the final black ball.

This is a relief for Day, even though it doesn't seem like there are any simple solutions for him.

O'Sullivan puts the ball in and has a good chance to get a high score in this shot.

Rocket Is Here!

The audience is in great spirits today and all four competitors are greeted with enthusiasm, but the most enthusiastic reception is given to the Rocket.

He requires only three additional frames to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

Referees Go Out

Today's hosts MC Rob Walker introduces the referees for the day, namely Rob Spencer and Ben Williams.

This signifies that the players will be making their entrances soon.

This afternoon, we will be primarily focusing on Ronnie O'Sullivan. He is currently pursuing his eighth world title and is leading 10-6 against Ryan Day.

The Rocket is expected to make it to his 22nd Crucible quarter-final, but he won't be overconfident. He lost last year's quarter-finals despite having a 10-6 advantage, as the eventual champion Luca Brecel won seven frames in a row against him.

We will also share new information about Kyren Wilson's match against Joe O'Connor. The Warrior, who made it to the final in 2020, is currently in a good position with a 10-6 advantage over the player who eliminated Mark Selby in the first round.
