However, the proceedings are in their initial stages, and the 34-year-old is exploring various possibilities about where he can pursue his career.

Once his contract ends in June, Reus plans to depart from Borussia Dortmund. He has been rumored to have connections with teams in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Reus maintains a strong bond with Roman Burki, who played with him for seven years in Dortmund before signing with the MLS team St. Louis in 2022.

According to sources, St. Louis has not included Reus in their list of potential players to sign. This suggests that the process is still in its beginning stages. In order for a player to be signed in the MLS, they must first be added to the "discovery list", which essentially grants the club the right to sign said player. However, clubs have limited space on this list.

Reus is about to hit his 35th birthday and he has made quite a name for himself in the soccer world. He's been awarded the Bundesliga player of the year three times and has also helped Dortmund win three German Cups. Additionally, he guided his team to the 2013 UEFA Champions League final and has ended up in second place in the Bundesliga five times. This season, Reus is expected to take part in the Champions League final once more, in what is believed to be his last game with Dortmund since his side triumphed over Paris Saint-Germain with a score of 2-0 in the semifinals.

During Dortmund's match with PSG on Tuesday, Reus entered the game as a substitute in the second half and helped his team achieve a 1-0 victory in Paris. This was a great accomplishment for the team.

Reus, a notable player in Dortmund, has made 426 appearances, achieving 169 goals and 130 assists. He's a legend in the club after returning in 2012. However, during the last two seasons, he wasn't able to play for more than 1,500 minutes in the league. Nonetheless, he maintained his productivity, scoring 11 goals and providing 13 assists in roughly 2,800 minutes of playing time.

The squad of St. Louis is heavily influenced by the German professional football league, Bundesliga. This is evident in the leadership of their sporting director, Lutz Pfanninstiel, and head coach, Bradley Carnell. Additionally, the team's three most costly players, namely Burki, Eduard Lowen, and Joao Klaus, have all previously played in the Bundesliga.

Last year, the football club had an exceptional first season in MLS, coming out as the champions of the Western Conference. This year, in 2024, the club is currently ranked ninth and has had seven games ending in a tie out of the first ten games played.

! The unexpected run of Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League final is a thrilling tale that has captured the attention of many. People were completely taken by surprise and did not anticipate this outcome.
