On Friday at the Miami Open, the game between Andy Murray and Tomas Martin Etcheverry was cut short due to the heavy rainfall, causing disruptions throughout the tournament schedule.

Murray won his first match against Matteo Berrettini, but in his second match against the Argentine player, they were both tied at 3-3 in the first set. Murray will continue playing this match on Saturday.

On Friday night, bad weather caused the cancellation of 14 matches in the men's singles category, including the match between Cam Norrie and Flavio Cobolli, as well as the one between Jack Draper and Nicolas Jarry.

We recommend using the Chrome browser to ensure that the video player is easily accessible.

On Saturday, Draper will begin playing at 3pm. After that, Murray's match will resume at around 5pm and Norrie will play at roughly 7pm. However, this is all subject to the weather.

On Saturday at about 9pm, the top-ranked British player Katie Boulter will take to the court to play against Beatriz Haddad Maia from Brazil. This comes after Boulter won her previous match against Brenda Fruhvirtova, who is only 16 years old.

If Murray wins, he will move on to play against Tomas Machac, who caused an upset earlier in the day by defeating the fifth-ranked player in the world, Andrey Rublev, with a score of 6-4 6-4.

Jannik Sinner, who won the Australian Open, was one of those affected by the weather. His second-round match against Andrea Vavassori was also postponed.

Sinner, who is ranked third, is currently ahead of another Italian player with a score of 3-2 and a tie at 40-40 in the first set. He is competing for a chance to play against either Alex Michelsen or Tallon Griekspoor in the following round.

In a different area, Denis Shapovalov is currently ahead of Stefanos Tsitsipas 2-1 in their paused match. Meanwhile, Daniil Medvedev is waiting for his second-round match against Marton Fucsovics to begin.

Many events have been scrapped due to persistent rain, following a six-hour delay on Thursday and predictions of further wet weather on Saturday.

In the female category, Camila Giorgi versus world No 1 Iga Swiatek was rescheduled for Saturday. Additionally, Naomi Osaka's game against Elina Svitolina was also deferred.
