Super Bowl 2023: NFL fans pack out Manchester bars to watch ...

It's that time of year again. The Super Bowl returns tonight as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

It's estimated around 1.45 BILLION chicken wings will be eaten during the event, with Americans alone expected to splurge $1.3bn on beer. Over in Manchester, hundreds of NFL fans have packed out bars such as Bierkeller to watch the game, and witness superstar Rihanna's eagerly anticipated return to the stage as she headlines the half-time show.

Tonight's Super Bowl will also see history made not once, but twice. Brothers Travis and Jason Kelce will become the first pair of siblings to ever face-off in a final. Tight end Travis will be suiting up for Kansas City Chiefs while older brother Jason will be starring for the Philadelphia Eagles.

In another first, the Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, 27, and the Eagles' Jalen Hurt's inclusion will mean it is the first time in Super Bowl history that the starting quarterbacks form both teams will be black.

Rihanna has people talking

Fans were left asking the same thing after Rihanna's hotly anticipated performance at the Super Bowl half time show. The set during the showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona was her first live gig in five years.

The pop princess hit the stage wearing an red undershirt and jumpsuit that was unzipped to her stomach, which she appeared to rub several times during the show, fuelling rumours that she could be pregnant again.

ChatGPT said it would be a close game

We asked AI chatbot ChatGPT to write a story about who will win Super Bowl LVII.

The original plan was to ask it to predict who will win the Super Bowl but that was quickly shut down as the intelligent search engine rightfully informed us that it is merely an 'AI language model', and it does not 'have the ability to predict future events'.

We had to get a bit creative and instead decided to use it's story telling tool which it has been praised for. We asked the AI to write a game story about the Super Bowl using it's knowledge of the latest squads, both team's records and latest odds.

ChatGPT said it would be a close game - and it's currently 14-14.

However, it also said the Chiefs would score first, but that was wrong.
