Serie A

At present, 25% of the Italian football league teams are owned by companies based in the United States.

Allied Sports has been announced as a partner of Serie A, the highest level of professional soccer in Italy, to aid in the league's growth in the United States. The partnership includes support for all 20 teams within the league.

The organization will be working in partnership with the North American Serie A office team, located in New York City, to create business plans and sales strategies to increase revenue by attracting more corporate partners and fans. They will also aim to collaborate with brands that share a similar mindset in order to establish a stronger connection.

At the moment, there are five teams that are owned by American companies in Serie A. This represents 25% of the league and includes AC Milan, Roma, Atalanta, Fiorentina, and Genoa.

Furthermore, just this week, the Oaktree Capital United States investment fund took over ownership of Inter Milan, the reigning champions of Serie A. This came about because the team's previous owner, Suning Group from China, was unable to repay the money they owed.

As for the athletes, on the other hand, Christian Pulisic, who is the captain of the American men's national team, is currently a member of AC Milan. As of 2022, ten American citizens have participated in this particular league.

Andy Mitchell, CEO of Serie A in North America, expressed that Allied Sports agrees with their strategy to connect brands with the 30 million fans in the region.

The leading Italian football league has recently formed a collaboration with Minute Media, who owns the digital media brand, to amplify their influence in North America.

After teaming up with Roc Nation Sports International, an entertainment and sports management company, last year, this move was made.

Last year in May, Mitchell joined as the managing director for the United States when the league's New York branch was inaugurated in early 2022.

During May of the year 2022, the principal executive of Serie A, Luigi Di Siervo, stated that the league needs to strive for a minimum of €100 million annual revenue through media rights fees in the United States.
