Kelly Osbourne says Ozempic weight loss trend is 'amazing' in direct opposition to her mom's opinion

Recently, Kelly Osbourne shared with E! News her endorsement of the Ozempic weight loss craze, claiming that the medicine is "fantastic."

During "Dolly Parton's Pet Gala" on Jan. 30, Osbourne shared with E! News that there are countless methods to shed weight, and suggested opting for something more interesting than hitting the gym.

Osbourne's representatives have not yet responded to NBC News' request for a comment.

Ozempic is a medicine that was made to assist people with Type 2 diabetes to manage their blood sugar levels. It has been widely popular among Hollywood celebrities who do not have diabetes, who consume it frequently to shed some pounds.

In a statement to E!, Osbourne expressed her confusion regarding the hype surrounding the popularity of Ozempic. She stated that she fails to comprehend why certain individuals are making such a massive fuss about it.

One reason why people with Type 2 diabetes are finding it challenging to treat their condition is due to the difficulty in accessing Ozempic. The drug has become highly sought after, with NBC News stating that demand has reached unprecedented levels.

Osbourne believes that critics simply "hate on" the usage of Ozempic as a weight loss aid due to their own personal motivations, according to an interview with E!

Osbourne allegedly stated to E! News that those who express the most dislike for this particular item are likely doing it in secret or feeling angry because they cannot afford it. Regrettably, the item in question is currently quite costly, but it will become more affordable in time due to the fact that it is effective.

Her statements are completely different from her mother, Sharon Osbourne's viewpoints regarding the utilization of the medication to reduce weight.

After taking Ozempic to lose weight for almost a year, Sharon Osbourne disclosed to the Daily Mail in November that she was unable to "cease dropping weight" and had already shed 42 pounds.

According to the Daily Mail, Sharon Osbourne cautioned that losing weight can quickly become addictive and dangerous. She also advised against providing weight-loss methods to teenagers due to the ease at which they can fall into the trap of overusing such methods.

Last month, some individuals using Ozempic informed NBC News they also shed a significant amount of weight while taking the medication. Although this is a desired outcome for some, research has revealed that a majority of patients who terminate their use of Ozempic or its equivalent, Wegovy, will experience weight gain once more.
