Apart from the typical enjoyment and celebration linked with this season, the 25th of December 2023 holds immense significance for admirers of Doctor Who.

Following the trio of anniversary episodes starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate, the latest holiday installment will showcase Ncuti Gatwa as the primary character in charge of the Tardis. This marks his initial stint as the lead in the franchise.

However, he is not accomplishing the task individually.

The fresh Christmas installment, The Church On Ruby Road, also presents to us the Time Lord's latest partner Ruby Sunday (along with a significant amount of goblins, but we can discuss that later).

Millie Gibson, a newcomer to Doctor Who, portrays Ruby in the show. She may already be familiar to avid television watchers, especially those who enjoy soap operas.

If you feel like you recognize Millie, there's a good chance you've come across her before.

Millie's first TV appearance was in 2017, on the CBBC show Jamie Johnson. The programme follows the story of a young boy who dreams of becoming a professional football player and explores the challenges he faces along the way.

Millie became a part of the show during its second season as Indira Cave, a schoolmate of Jamie's. She remained on the show until the conclusion of its third season.

The story of Maxine, an 11-year-old who is learning to accept her transgender identity was conveyed through a Butterfly three-part series.

Alongside Anna Friel, Emmett J Scanlan, and Alison Steadman, Callum Booth-Ford had his big break playing Lily in Millie, who is Maxine's elder sibling.

It is possible that you recognize Millie from her appearance in Coronation Street.

Millie starred in a soap opera for a period of three years. Her character, Kelly Neelan, portrayed a teenage girl who was experiencing personal turmoil. As a result, Toyah Battersby and Imran Habeeb took her in as their foster child.

Throughout her three-year stay on the street, Kelly played a significant role in several crucial plotlines, with her most memorable involvement being linked to the demise of Seb Franklin.

In 2022, she departed from Weatherfield after a short-term romantic involvement with Aadi, who is the son of Dev Alahan.

Although Millie didn't stay in Corrie for a long time, she definitely left her mark on the show. She won the award for Best Young Performer at the British Soap Awards last year, and was also nominated for the Serial Drama Performance category at the NTAs.

He is a photographer who takes many images for Getty Images, which is a popular website for buying and selling stock photography. Mike Marsland took the picture of an individual who is riding a bike in the snow. This picture was taken during a cold winter day, as the snow can be seen on the ground. The image captures the essence of winter, with the person braving the cold weather to ride their bike. It inspires us to get out and enjoy the natural beauty of the season, even when the weather is less than perfect. So, if you're feeling stuck indoors during the winter months, let this photo be a reminder that there is still plenty to enjoy outside – even if it's just a bike ride in the snow.

Back in 2017, Millie made an appearance on one part of the short-lived show called Love, Lies and Records, where she acted alongside Ashley Jensen, Rebecca Front, and Mandip Gill.

She has also performed on stage in Prom! The Musical and Eyam, both of which took place at the prestigious Oldham Coliseum Theatre in Manchester, which unfortunately no longer exists.

Millie has also provided her vocal talents to the Radio 4 productions of Me Myself I and Stone. However, it's unlikely that you would be able to spot her in these productions as they are audio dramas.

The newest Christmas installment of Doctor Who will be on television at 5.55pm on Monday, December 25th.
