Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree has maintained its position at the second spot, while Jingle Bell Rock, originally made available in 1957, has secured the third position.

In 1986, the song Last Christmas by Wham reached the fourth position, while A Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives finished as the fifth most popular song.

People got to know the tune when it was sung by the balladeer's character, Sam the Snowman, in the well-liked Christmas movie on TV called Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
