Why Didn't Blake Lively Attend the Met Gala 2024?

Blake Lively Met Gala 2024

The Met Gala showcased a lot of splendid outfits and original creations. However, one noticeable absentee was Blake Lively. It's disheartening not to see her at the Met Gala 2024 event. However, we believe there's a valid reason behind her absence. As a mother of four and a prominent actress with two upcoming movie projects, perhaps she decided to take a break and let other women take the spotlight this time. It's completely understandable, don't you think?

Blake Lively has not attended the Met Gala for two years now. However, back in 2022 she made quite an entrance in a Versace dress that changed color from copper to green, reminiscent of the iconic Statue of Liberty. Due to having given birth recently, it's perfectly understandable that she decided to skip the 2023 event.

Luckily, we have many different photos of the stunning Blake Lively at previous Met Galas. There's nothing quite like a Met Gala look from Blake Lively - her outfits always match the carpet! She's amongst the top-tier celebrities that are always invited to the Met Gala, along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Zendaya, who will be a cochair in 2024. However, unlike those fashion icons, Blake Lively doesn't work with a stylist. She likes to pick her own pieces and talk directly with designers. Only Blake Lively is known for completely nailing the theme and seamlessly matching the carpet too. It's definitely something special and Lively is definitely aware of it.

During the annual Costume Institute Gala on May 5, 2014, which was named "Charles James: Beyond Fashion," the Metropolitan Museum of Art located in New York City hosted a grand event.

On May 7, 2018, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City hosted the Costume Institute Gala, which was themed "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination."

During May 1, 2017, in New York City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted the "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between" Costume Institute Gala.

Naturally, her spouse Ryan Reynolds wasn't present either. He doesn't like attending events alone and is occupied with his upcoming movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, which will most likely be one of summer's biggest hits. However, we're just as thrilled for Lively's upcoming films, including the anticipated adaptation of Colleen Hoover's It Ends With Us and the sequel of the popular A Simple Favor, which she and Anna Kendrick will co-star in. It's nearly as exciting as the prospect of seeing Lively's fashion at the 2024 Met Gala, but not quite.
