Dolly Parton has emphasized to her supporters that age is nothing but a digit, despite doing a halftime demonstration dressed up in the classic attire of a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

On Thursday's NFL game between host Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders, the 77-year-old legend of country music dazzled the crowd with her performance. In honor of Thanksgiving, Parton graced the field with her presence, belting out hit songs such as "Jolene," "9 to 5", and a unique take on Queen's "We Are the Champions."

Parton gave an outstanding show, but what truly drew the audience's gaze was her attire resembling a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She made her appearance at the AT&T Stadium situated in Arlington, Texas, dressed in a revamped version of the famous cheerleading uniform. Her ensemble featured a blue cropped top, a vest with white stars, and correspondingly white shorts of a minuscule size. Along with this, the singer wore a transparent, sparkling catsuit beneath the crop top and shorts.

After Parton's halftime show, fans swiftly went on social media to express their opinions about her remarkable outfit choice.

One supporter commented on X, previously referred to as Twitter, that Dolly will continue to display iconic appearances and performances until she passes on to the afterlife, which is a guaranteed aspect in this world.

Another admirer declared that Dolly Parton is a valuable asset to the country and should be cherished as such.

Soon after, a few internet bullies started to condemn the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader attire worn by Dolly. One user specifically highlighted, "There are people who are insulting Dolly because of her age of 77 and because she doesn't behave like an elderly woman."

Numerous individuals commended Parton for boldly choosing to wear whatever outfit she desires, disregarding her age.

One admirer declared, "Dolly Parton is 77 years old and wearing any outfit she desires. I really appreciate her for that."

Another person wrote that Dolly Parton appears much more attractive at the age of 77 than they have at any point in their life.

A few supporters observed that Tony Romo, a commentating personality on CBS and former quarterback for the Cowboys, appeared to be overly praising Dolly Parton's performance during the halftime show. While broadcasting for the NFL, Romo expressed how impressed he was with Parton's appearance, saying "She looks fantastic. She's fantastic. Who wouldn't be a fan of Dolly Parton?"

During her time as a prominent figure in country music, the legendary artist has always made an impression with her unforgettable sense of fashion. Her trademark rhinestone jackets and voluminous blonde hair are just a few examples. Interestingly, Parton shared that she was advised to tone down her unique style during the early stages of her career.

In the four-part series titled What Would Dolly Do? on Apple Music and Apple Podcasts, Dolly talked about her close friend and fellow musician, Chet Atkins, who gave her some advice about her appearance. Chet suggested she should soften her look as he didn't think people would take her seriously as a singer and songwriter. Dolly took his advice to heart and thanked him for it. However, instead of taking it seriously, she did the opposite and got even more extreme with her appearance.

Several years passed before I became famous when he suddenly appeared next to me and remarked, "You must be happy you followed my valuable suggestion," as stated by the singer. When asked by Bannen on what she would say to someone nowadays if they demanded her to alter her looks, Parton fittingly stated, "I would say, 'No way. I am not doing it.'"

The vocalist behind "I Will Always Love You" stated that your individual fashion should only be what brings you joy.

In my honest opinion, it's crucial to discover your personal identity, what brings you joy, what makes you at ease, and if you feel confident in your appearance, based on your personal standards, then you'll perform at your peak. This philosophy is ingrained in me, and I believe it applies to everyone. Every individual has unique preferences, and that's what fashion signifies to me.
