Dolly Parton surprises terminally ill fan with personal phone call and message

In OREM, Utah (Gray News), there's been a recent occurrence where Dolly Parton has pleasantly surprised a desperately ill admirer who wanted to connect with the legendary singer through a personal phone call.

The Washington Post reported that LeGrand Gold got to know that his fourth-stage colon cancer was unmanageable, which made him anxious that he might not tick all the boxes from his list of things to do before he dies.

Approximately 12 months ago, Gold penned down a list of 11 objectives he was determined to achieve on a serviette.

He thought it would be impossible to meet Parton among all of them.

Following the posting of Gold's desire on the internet by his spouse, Alice, Gold was contacted by Parton earlier this week while he was at his abode in Utah.

Gold, who is 48 years old, was allegedly taken aback when he heard the sound of one of his most beloved musical performers.

Based on accounts, the conversation between them lasted around four minutes. Parton switched up the words to her iconic song "I Will Always Love You," replacing them with "I will always love LG," which is the nickname of the person she was speaking with.

According to The Washington Post, the lifespan of gold is predicted to be between two to twelve months.

He expressed that receiving a call from Parton was very meaningful to him.
